And, the best part, though, is that a local TV reporter confronted her on tape and is exposing Starzilla's cuntish ways!
Update: Star's publicist has released the following statement….
"It is unfortunate that Mr. Wilson and this for-profit Expo has chosen to so gravely distort the facts surrounding this speaking engagement for their benefit. Ms. Jones' lecture agency William Morris was contacted on April 18, 2005 to have her speak at an Expo on February 4, 2006 for $25,000. Per the accepted terms of the deal a deposit was to be issued by the organizers on July 4, 2005 with the balance being submitted 48 hours prior to the scheduled travel date.
However, the balance was never provided and after countless attempts to save the date; the William Morris Agency had no other choice but to cancel the date and advise the booking agency that they were in breach of contract. At no time did Ms. Jones receive or accept $30,000 as stated by Mr. Wilson and had no direct contact with this for-profit Expo. The real shame is that, Ms. Jones honored all contractual terms of the deal but this organization did not and have now fabricated a story to make a name for themselves on hers."

Personally, I consider that losing weight through gastric bypass surgery is kind of like a cheat. Being really really hefty and losing weight that way (through surgery) is not the same as gaining self control, altering your diet and exercising your way back to a "normal weight". The surgery is a cheating shortcut like liposuction would be. It does not take self-conrol or discipline. It just takes lots of money to pay for the surgery. Plus, rich people also have access to other "helpers" like personal nutritionists and personal trainers that ordinary (and poorer) fat people don't have. That's also like a cheat, in my opinion.
I don't understand why people would hire her to be a guest speaker on the subject of weight loss anyway. What would she have to say to them? What motivational words of advice could she give them to help them succeed in becoming thin again like she did? Was she just going to go there and say "Yes, you too can be thin again if you also have the money for this expensive surgery."? They might as well have wasted their money hiring phoney-ass Susan Powter who, according to her brother, was never fat to begin with and ask her "dieting" advice! People who give false hope to fat people hoping to finally lose the weight and get back to normal disgust me!!! It's even more reprehensible to take money for it!
