Oh, please, who cares? Artists have been sampling other artists for ever now. What is the big deal? As long as she gave them writing credits and the label paid them for the sample, who cares? There are TONS of songs out there right now that have samples from other songs and nobody complains about them. Get over it, everyone does it.

Want to talk about rip off? Led Zeppelin ripped off tons of bands. Some of their most famous songs, including Stairway To Heaven, are blatant rip offs of other bands, and they took all the credit for it.

It would be one thing if she did it without permission like Avril (the bands she stole from tried to sue) but she didn't. Instead of trying to ridicule Perez because you assume he doesn't know about sampling, read what he says. There are plenty of tunes out there which sample others and are more original than this piece of crap. Sampling and cover tunes are valid as long as they're artistic and produced well. There's a difference between sampling a break or a vocal hook and outright copying a tune. What do you expect though? Its not like you listen to a Fergie album and expect "art." She's a cookie-cutter generic pop star who went solo because someone at a record label thought they could market her well. You want to see originality? Don't look in Fergie's direction. The fact that the band is listed in the liner notes and even played the same tune for her just reinforces the fact that its not original. Props to Perez for pointing that out. As long as morons keep buying her albums thinking that its "art" and "original" then the record labels aren't going to change anything. Its not like you're going to get originality with an "artist" like her, the only reason she exists is because she can be marketed.
