Spears' new CD, Blackout, expected to sell 350,000 copies in its first week of release in the U.S.
Too bad for her that The Eagles' latest album, the double CD Long Road Out Of Eden, is going to sell more than twice as much as Brit Brit. Yup, they are on track to sell 700k+.
AND, what makes that feat especially rare is that The Eagles new album is only available at Wal-Mart retailers.
Luckily for Spears, though, since the California rockers' new record is being carried by just a single retailer, the disc is not eligible for the new Billboard Album chart. So Britney will likely claim the #1 spot, even though she clearly doesn't have the most popular album in America.

Regardless of sales or chart position, I'm happy for Britney's remaining fans (Chris Crocker, JIVE's paid bloggers, 5% of gay guys, 10% of 10-year-old girls) that she managed to put out an album at all. Everyone knows what it's like to be a fan of something.
Her album is not her best, not her worst–but the Britney brand is over, and her music will never be the same because it's all based on an image. And guess what, the image is a fraud. Expectations were so low people were shocked she could still manage to utter a 3-second chunk of lyrics to be tweaked, so kudos. Unfortunately, y'all, Paris Hilton actually has a better singing voice.

The new Eagles CD is only 92 minutes. Take that Twitney fans. Ironic twist repeats itself AGAIN! In 2001, English rockers Pink Floyd's Echoes 2-CD best of hit #2 in the UK and US. Twitney's album called Britney peaked at #4 in the UK and #1 in the US. In 2003, The Beatles' Let it Be…Naked outsold Twitney in their homeland whilst Twitney outsold The Fab Four Stateside. Mike, the copy of the new Eagles album you saw at Virgin was a UK import. The album is only being sold as an import for the first year, except it is at Wal-Mart and Sam's Club and eaglesband.com fo rthe US from now until next year, and combine the sales from all three and that is where the 700,000 plus copies sold came into play. You cry-baby Twitney fans are all either 12 year olds or are that f*ggot Chris crockofsh*t or those n*ggers at Jive. If Pink Floyd did a new studio album, they'd slaughter Sneers. The only reason Floyd didn't outsell Spears in 2001 was they had a best of.

The Eagles' new album is 90 minutes long so it counts as ONE SOLD! Pink Floyd's The Wall, which is a double album and double CD, only counts as ONE COPY SOLD because the total running time is 81 minues 20 seconds and was released as one cassette and one 8-track cartridge (if you remember what 8-tracks and cassettes are). Twitney fans, stop crying that Perez rained on the parade. Billboard.com even reported that The Eagles outsold TWITNEY! Blackout sold even less than ITZ's first week out.
