Amy Winehouse was spotted at the American Embassy in London on Monday, sources reveal to PerezHilton.com.

The troubled singer is attempting to apply for a visa to let her back in to work in the U.S., which may be a bit hard to obtain following her recent arrest in Norway.

Amy has many upcoming appearances scheduled in America, including a performance at the MTVu Woodie Awards.

Let the Wino in!

She doesn't have any babies. She won't hurt anyone (except herself).

      I will be really suprised if the U.S. lets her in. If it happens, it will be obvious that money and popularity buys a visa to the country. When I was 11, my mom applied for a visa to the U.S. and was denied, even though my dad had been in the U.S. already, as well as all around the world. Heck, he had lived in London for 8 months for job related reasons. My mom and the rest of the family went back a 2nd time and had to jump through hoops in order get a tourist visa. None of these hoops included doing drugs, believe me! And this was 18 years ago. The world has definitely changed since then, but you never know. Paulina Rubio, who was in the news here about a week ago, had a tourist visa to the U.S. and was denied a green card because of drug use. Apparently doing Marijuana is ok to get a tourist visa, as long as you don't apply for a green card, now a days.

      U.S. immigration law mandates that anyone with any drug offense is "inadmissible" (no visa to do SNL, no green card) unless the conviction is for a single offense, possession only, of marijuana in an amount less than 30 grams.

      If inadmissible, she can apply for a waiver under 212(d)(3), but that is totally up to the State Department/Embassy.

      Also, that is a dumb comment about Paulina Rubio. As part of the "green card" or immigrant visa process, you take a drug test. She won't get in for years, including on a B-1/B-2, but she doesn't have a criminal conviction that told the border officers at the airport that she was doing drugs. No one has to take a drug test for a nonimmigrant visa

      I do not see the appeal of this women- she is very hard to look at. She is really frightening and depressing looking -like a dreg of the earth. Her singing is absoluetly dreadful. It sounds like cats caterwauling. I was in a bookstore once and had to leave because they were playing her death march melancholic songs. Her singing could be utilized as a form of torture and could absolutely drive someone to the verge of insanity!!!!!
