Another magazine bites the dust!

House & Garden magazine will cease publication following its December issue, Conde Nast has revealed.

Martha Stewart must be doing one-armed cartwheels through the geraniums in her backyard!

      The problem with house and garden is that they were very unrealistic. It was just a lot of showy stuff, nothing that you can learn from.

      H&G resisted the do-it-yourself trend that most home-centric mags embraced. I steal one from work on a regular basis, & it's just alot of overpriced, very ordinary room set-ups that would mainly only appeal to junior league doctors' wives. No love lost, esp. since all the uppity well-to-dos have their own interior designers nowadays.

      I'm not surprised…first Jane and now Home and Garden. This is the second one of my subscriptions that is being cancelled. First they were trying desperately to sell subscriptions and secondly, they just aren't (or weren't in the case of Jane) very good publications. Looks like even Gwyneth couldn't help.
