Gisele Bundchen must be getting paid mad cash for her Victoria's Secret gig various endorsement deals. However, none of it is in U.S. dollars.
The Brazilian supermodel is insisting that all employers pay her in any currency except American.
Why? Cuz the dollar ain't worth shit, she thinks.
And she may have a point!
The U.S dollar lost 34 percent of its value since 2001, and just last week the dollar fell 0.8 percent!
"Contracts starting now are more attractive in euros because we don't know what will happen to the dollar," says Patricia Bundchen, Gisele's sister and manager.

You don't understand - if let's say she gets paid 50,000 dollars a week, every week for three months. On payday one it is worth 35,000 euro and as the dollar keeps hitting lows, by week eight the same constant pay of 50k is already worth 40k in euro. See the difference? If the prices in euro are constant, then she makes an extra 5,000 just by the exchange rate differences.
Same thing works backwards, if she got paid 35k euro each week then initially it would be worth 50k in dollars but by the eight week that amount in euro would be worth almost 44k in American. Way less!

This also leads me to believe that she will not pay income taxes now that she is being paid in euros.
