According to court papers filed Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Federline is a self-employed performing artist and "does not earn any income" besides the $20,000 a month in spousal support he gets from Spears.
Well, waging this bitter baby battle against Unfitney ain't come cheap.
Kevin is requesting that Brit Brit pay his attorney's fees in the amount of $160,000.
Basically, there are provisions in family law that state if one party makes a shitload more than the other, then that party could be held responsible for the costs of legal representation of the poor one.
No word yet on whether or not that is going to happen but both Federline and Spears are mandated to be in court on November 26th to continue their baby dramz.
Update: Britney has been ordered to pay $120,000 of Kevin's legal fees.

The person that wins a lawsuit often has their attorney's fees paid for by the losing party. He's not my favorite person, but get a brain. it is extraordinarily common when there is a disparity in income for the wealthier exspouse to pay the legal fees. it is not unusual nor is it some odd provision in the law. the court can do this in EQUITY or fairness–and it traditionally does.

You know, the whole idea of spousal support is that housewives/househusbands, who helped the "breadwinner" of the family throughout the years, get their fair share of money. Because, you know, cooking and cleaning doesn't come free in this country; maids and cooks are expensive. It also takes a lot of time out of someone's day to do all the household duties; being a stay-at-home parent is a full-time job. Therefore, the individual of the house who makes all the income couldn't have gone as far with their career/made as much money throughout their lifetime if it wasn't for the stay-at-home parent. So really, the whole idea behind this law is all about equity.
Brit Brit and K-Fed's situation has nothing at all to do with this initial intention.
Regardless if Britney's a psycho or a bad parent, she is still 1000 times better than this scum-of-the-eart shit bag. Really, how did he ever help Britney accomplish what she did? Did he ever help out with anytihng? If I recall, he didn't spend any time with the kids when they were together (and still doesn't), because he was always out partying in Las Vegas.
