It's hilarious that she says she enjoys the character but is only doing it for the money…it's such a contradiction. Most people who love to play a certain role are willing to make financial sacrifices to play them…here you have someone who loves a character but only did it for the money….this may have been a good example of a time that an actress just shuts her mouth for fear that she is looking like an ingrate. The world of entertainment has certainly not beaten down her door after the series ended, so you would think she could seem moderatly happy. I am afraid her reputation for being "difficult" is not going away any time soon after this quote…there are too many other actors out there that would kill for the parts she is "only doing for the money" and chances are they are drying up faster than her pruny face.

Frankly, I love this comment. I am a HUGE fan of the series, and Samantha was by far the most entertaining character. Kim Catrall gave that ensemble life and spice. Actually, I think all the women played their parts well, otherwise the show wouldn't have been as golden as it was, regardless of who was your favorite - the balance was needed for the show to work. So what that they weren't friends behind the scenes? So what if the actual actresses hated each other? To be professional, they just needed to do their damn jobs, which they did and did well. Why is it wrong for this woman to admit that she didn't enjoy working that job, despite loving the character and needing the money?! I don't find that offensive at all - not to the character, not to the book / series and certainly not to me or any other of SATC fan. There are things I actually like about being a lawyer and the law, but having to work with most attorneys every day is torture. Sure, I've made some friends, and the paycheck puts a roof over my head and feeds my children and I. So, I do it, and I don't think I offend clients by agreeing with them that lawyers are AS*HOLES and our legal system is pretty screwed up. I appreciate Kim's honesty and I like her even more. I hope Hollywood wises up and gives the lady worthy roles that showcase her charisma and ability to entertain.
