Wednesday night, racist Dog The Bounty Hunter went on Larry King Live to continue his cold and calculated apology tour.
Now, the victim of his racist rant caught on tape, Monique Shinnery, who is dating his son, is going to sue Dog for slandering her (among other things), the National Enquirer is reporting.
"She’s had enough," says the mag. "He attacked her character and as she points out (and he now admits) he’s never met her or spoken to her. He has accused her of things that never happened and caused her a lot of pain."
Hmmmm. Interesting.
Can you sue someone for slandering them in private????

I am not a fan of this man Dog, in fact I find his show painful to watch for it is so tacky and everything from the people to the hair styles, clothes, speech, etc. However, that said, this is Political Correctness gone MUCH to far!
Shame on A & E for temporarily cancelling his show, pandering to advertisers who they imagined would react, yet it will bounce back upon them and so it should.
Shame on the girlfriend who has shown herself to have absolutely no character and for Dog to have been proven right about her. I truly hope her greedy nature haunts her for years to come and I do hope that Dog never trusts his son again and leaves him out in the cold. There is no excuse for the sons behavior, greediness, and disloyalty. He should never be trusted ever again!

I don't wish to ever become one of those who degrades others for their skin color. I've gone through alot myself and would never inflict the pain onto others and to those who do, it's something that is very painful and for those who've been hurt, you have to learn to not allow it to effect you. People will be the way they are and you're just going to have to hold your chin up high and take the higher rode.
I don't believe Dog is in any way a racist. Believe me, I know how malicious a true racist can be and it is the exact opposite of Dog.
Also, this girl is obviously making this public for her personal gain and it's an extremely hateful and vile thing to do to someone just to scram some money out of them. She is in no way a good natured girl and I hope she will learn her lesson soon.
Actually she may have a legitimate cause of action against him. He has made repeated comments concerning her character in subsquent press releases and interviews. To the extent that those subsquent statements are false and slanderous (i.e. have harmed her reputation and standing in the community), she may have a legitimate cause of action against him. Hey I'm all for free speech, but if this guy comes out publicy and maligns her character - well, that may very well be an actionable tort.
This suing ordeal is getting out of hand. This was in private and if anything this guy should sue his son for taping this phone call without his knowledge. This was a family discussion. Pain my ass, get over it. Everyone gets their feelings hurt. I'm sick of people always asking for a pity party only to try to get some money. By using the courts for these petty trials we are demeaning ourselves as a country and taking time away from the actual criminals that need to be judged in the courts. There is no slander here. It was a private conversation, and the key is that Dog had "no reasonable expectation" (yeah, I'm using legalese) that this conversation would be published. People who keep talking about 1st Amendment rights…get a freakin clue. yes, she can sue for slander. by law, as long as 2 or more people were present, it's slander. obviously more than 2 people heard it after it was aired, and as for the "real time" of the convo, she just has to prove that one other person heard it. shouldn't be too hard….

How do we know that whoever Dog's son is dating wasn't a malicious person?
He is entitled to freedom of speech. I mean no one can say that they have never said a hurtful thing about someone else. But it is not for us to judge, but God. Dog became a Christian and he realizes that what he said was not the smartest thing, but we are not entitled to judge him. Also, many of you don't even know that he moved his entire family to Hawaii, where the show is filmed, to allow his children to be part of that culture.
