   Doctors, ESPECIALLY those that practice surgery are routinely sued for malpractice. That is why they are REQUIRED BY LAW to carry "Malpractice Insurance".

Yes, he was clearly at fault and yes it is undisputed that his past transgressions make him suspect, but doesn’t Mrs West (I don’t use ‘Dr’ because Phd’s are just stupid, real doctors use knives) deserve most of the blame. She was previously advised by other plastic surgeons that she was a classic health risk (age and heart disease) and shouldn’t be a candidate for elective surgery. Here’s the fact: she was informed of the risk, ignored advice, sought some shady unlicensed doctor for, my favorite part, cosmetic surgery! She was a moron and the media should recognize this. She didn’t ‘battle’ or suffer an ‘ordeal’ of life or death situation, she disregarded medical professionals’ opinions and knowlingly risked her life for new tits and abs. Not surprising this is where that Artard kanye comes from.

   He's a doctor in a different field and decided one day he wanted to be a plastic surgeon without getting the proper education or certification.

   When getting plastic surgery, ALWAYS make sure your doctor started in plastic surgery and didn't cross over from some other field of medicine just to make money.

   This guy had no idea what he was doing. He didn't have the years of experience to know he was doing it all wrong on Kanye's mother. She'd be alive today, if she had stayed with the first plastic surgeon instead of this JERK!!

   I need a COMMENT on this one. I am a surgery nurse and our patients stay at least one day if not two after a tummy tuck. They have a good bit of pain and need professional observation. I wonder did she get confused and take too many pain pills, hence the respiratory arrest. But again, why did she go home so soon? She had plenty of money to stay and have professional observation.

    the DUI's are bad, the sexual assault is iffy since there was no conviction, but the malpractice suits?
    You do realize any dickhead with a quarter to use a payphone can (an usually does) make malpractice claims against surgeons yes? (you also realize that's a MASSIVE reason healthcare is expensive?)
    If the suits brought up on him all resulted in him being found guilty that would be one thing, but having suits brought up against you in this society is hardly an automatic deal breaker for a doctor.

    I am a doctor. I send my condolences to the family of the patient but I would hope that, until it is proven that this guy committed malpractice on this patient - shouldn't you avoid slandering him?

    I understand what you are saying, but there are many actions a Medical Board can take with these transgressions. Revocation of a license is just one of them. There is a hearing process and the laws vary from state to state. It's a very complicated issue (thanks to volumes of legal jargon) even though it can seem like it should be simple.

    Actually some PhD s(especially those engineers who design most of the the equipment medical doctors use) are quite intelligent. It is understandable that you attempt to put others down because you feel intimidated becuase their graduate career consisted of understanding scientific phenomena which you can not begin to understand. Scientist and engineers actually MUST perfoem scientific work and provide a novel concept to their respective fields - I am not sure if all doctors, medical included, have to do that

    First of all….as a human I do feel for Kanye that he lost his mother…. BUT. Was the vanity worth it?????????? She did not heed the first docs advice about getting a medical clearance. She did not get a second opinion. This was purely cosmetic/ELECTIVE surgery. Kanye does have the money to buy her an excellent, board certified unethical doc at least.

    What was Kanye's mom thinking? She was told by a competent surgeon plastic surgeries were to dangerous because of pre-existing medical conditions. I guess this is the only loser who would agree to do it and you know he's really gonna catch it in the ass for this!
