On Tuesday, Regan filed a massive lawsuit against Rupert Murdoch, Harper Collins and Newscorp.

The best part of the filing - Murdoch's people pressured her to LIE to Federal offiicials about her affair with Rudolph Giuliani's BFF Bernie Kerik (who was judged indicted on federal charges). If true, one or more Murdoch higher-ups could be facing major felony charges as well. (Murdoch is the power behind the throne in the Giuliani campaign for president).

Regan had an affair with Kerik in a luxury apartment across from the site of the the WTC site after 9/11 - an apartment meant for recovey workers.

The reason Americans sue each other a lot is that they can, mostly because they enjoy a rare combination of economic freedom and the rule of law. Wealth plus rights equals squabbling, but a lot of wrongs get redressed in a way that just does not happen in, for example, Russia or Egypt. On the other hand, Judith is wacko.

Oh Snap! The biggest part of this lawsuit is that Miller says Murdock's newscorp empire told her to lie to the federal government when they were investigating her boyfriend (who happened to be Rudy Guilliani's best friend) because they were worried she would expose information that would hurt Rudy's run for the presidency. Apparently newscorp (which owns fox) are in bed with Guilliani and Judith Miller knows some dirty little secrets that could mess up the campaign.

The biggest part of this story is the dirt on Rudy and Bernie. Murdoch tried to get Regan to lie to the feds about Bernie, because it would damage Rudy's campaign.

Regan was two years ahead of me at Vassar. She has a long history of going litigious on people. She was embroiled in the longest nastiest divorce battle ever in the history of New York State.

Before that, the first time she ever got in the news was when she claimed that an NYC cabdriver slapped her ! She's always been out of control. I would take what she says with many grains of salt.

Yes, Judith is a bulldog. I've worked with her, and she's FASCINATING (that's "with" and not "for" which may explain why I have such a high opinion of her). She actually does have a big heart and is a very intelligent woman. But, I certainly wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of her wrath. Go get him Judith, you got screwed on this one.
