The shady plastic surgeon, Jan Adams, with multiple DUI arrests, malpractice suits and other unpleasantries that performed on Kanye West's deceased mother, Donda, issued a statement late Tuesday.
The dirty doc says, "I want to first express my deepest condolences to the West family at a very difficult time. As a medical doctor practicing in this field, I hold sacred the bond of confidentiality that exists between the patient and doctor. Out of respect of the West family, and the absence of verifiable information, any comment without having first discussing that information with the family would be unprofessional."
Unfortunately, your deepest condolences aren't gonna bring Kanye's mom back to life!
Nor are they gonna fix all the mistakes you've made on previous patients!

Some of the racist comments on here are disgusting. Perez can say all he wants but you don't know what happened, no one does yet until after the medical examiner is done with the post mortem work up. This physician graduated from Harvard Medical School and is the host of Discovery Health Channel's "Plastic surgery before and after". Definitely not your average plastic surgeon. If you think patients only die after surgery due to a problem with the physicians you have some serious things to learn about medicine. Some people's bodies just can't tolerate being under anesthesia or on a ventilator for over 5 hours. Not to mention what else she might have had that might have increased her risks of post-op complications. Perez wants to jump down this guys throat as if he HAD to have made a mistake. That's unfair - the reality is that surgery is risky, some people will die. Human beings weren't designed to be put under and cut open, most of us can tolerate it but some of us just don't make it, regardless of what the surgery is or who is the physician.
This man better be serving jail time plus the loss of his medial license.

I know it's bad to point this out, BUT…. she went to one of the poshest, most-qualified and respected cosmetic surgery centers, and they told her they wouldn't do the surgery, without her getting her heart tested FIRST. She, an EXTREMELY intelligent and well-educated, 58-year-old single mother (which gave her one HELL of a education in life experience) who chose instead to go to a doctor's office above Kinko's and Quizno's. She knew better, but did it anyway. The popularity and exposure of plastic surgery makes it seem commonplace, and deceptively simple, especially in California. It's still surgery, it's still risky.
People are already nervous about seeing black doctors. This isn't helping.

Actually this doctor has been featured on Discovery Health Channel with his own show and has done very well as a plastic surgeon. Because he has been very accomplished in his field, it is a ironic that there would be a death incident like this. We dont know all the facts except that someone died. Whether he is black or not is besides the point, Kanye's mother died and none of you guys would want your mother to be DEAD. First of all, we don't know the facts. Secondarily, hundreds and hundreds of plastic surgeons have malpractice judgements against them. It is pervasive in that industry even among renouned plastic surgeons. Insurance premiums are one of the most expensive costs in opening a practice. And there's a reason why. We will have to see the autopsy results, but it sounds like she died of some pre-existing condition that might have made surgery too risky.

Maybe she didn't tell the Doctor all the medications she was taking and it interacted with her post-op medication. Maybe she went to a quack internist that gave her the go ahead (probably not but who knows). With shows like Extreme Makeovers people want to get so many things done at once without thinking of the stress it put on the body and the amount of blood loss. Good and Bad doctors lose patients.
