Lindsay Lohan may check in to jail on Thanksgiving.

"She's hoping by doing her sentence on a holiday that there will be less attention on her arrival and departure," a source close to Lohan tells us. "She doesn't want the same hoopla that surrounded Paris."

Lindsay lucked out with her DUI sentencing this past summer.

A judge ordered her to serve the mandatory minimum of four days in jail for her second DUI conviction, but prosecutors agreed that she could serve 10 days of community service in lieu of two days behind bars.

She began performing her community service on Monday, volunteering at a Red Cross in Pomona.

Lohan was also given credit for one day served from her July arrest (her second in 2007), leaving a remainder of just 24 hours in jail.

She has until January to complete that portion of her sentence.

      Ok, so aside from the fact that she is a "star" what makes her so friggin special? Does that mean that she is above the law? If anyone else in REALITY got 2 DUI's they would serve a couple years behind bars not just 4 days!! A friend of mine's brother (albeit, he is a total loser) is serving 10 years in Florida for his second DUI conviction. She is no better than anyone else, she just had more money and fame so what makes her above the law?

      What does she mean LESS attention - anyone who works in news will tell you that holidays are DEAD news days - so in fact - she will get MORE attention because there is nothing going on. Now, not only will she have the paparazzi following her, news vans and reporters will be camped out in front of the jail. So, by doing the 'turn yourself in on turkey day' plan, she will in effect guaranteed herself the top story of the day.

      She belongs behind bars. My husband got his second DUI just recently, and his first one was almost 8 years ago, but they're making him serve 45 days in jail.. It's not fair, us who don't have the money and fame get treated like crap. When you have money and fame, it's no big deal. No wonder the famous people never learn their lesson. They never get punnished for their actions to show them their wrong and it's actually really against the law.. Must me nice, to have no consequences for your actions.

      PLEASE. i will be surprised if she even has to serve TWO days in jail!!!!! we all know her sentence will probably be reduced to something like 5 hours!!! and working at the red cross as "community service"? This country's justice system is complete BULLSHIT. let me go get 2 DUI's and have coke on me and see if I get off that easy? HA DOUBTFUL!!!!!!!
