He may care for her very much, but the pull to sow wild oats while you still can and while young is a strong one, and the decision to settle down with one person in marriage at that age is even more daunting. Young women are usually more mature at this age and are ready to settle down earlier. Monogamy was designed in an era where people lived only until their 40's. It was easy to be faithful for 20+ years. People today live until their 80s and on. Its naive to believe that most couples could remain interested in each other that many years.
