Marie Osmond's son, Michael, is in rehab.
He's only 16 years old!!!!
The devout Mormon released a statement on Wednesday, saying, "My son Michael is an amazing young man shown through his courage in facing his issues. As his mother I couldn't be more proud of him. The press and public has always been kind and gracious in the past and I know they will continue to respect our privacy during this time."
She's proud of him???

I know Marie had no control over her dad's death (he WAS 90…) but this is the 3rd "big event" to happen while she's on this show. She faints, her dad dies, and now her son is in rehab. She either needs to get off the show and take care of herself and her family…or this is added publicity.

utah is just like anywhere else, though they invent alcohol laws that are insane to "protect" the people. Utah has one of the highest prescription drug addiction and abuse rates, and particularily in Utah county, an incredible death rate for teenage drug abusers. mormon mom's don't drink, but tend to take medication, that their teenagers steal. just like the rest of America, the drug problems are out of control. hope he takes advantage of the help

You know what? You have 8 kids and only 1 is in rehab these days, you're doing a pretty good job! I speak from experience. My parents had 7 kids and through absolutely no fault of their own, 1 of my sisters got hooked on heroin. I have looked at it from every angle and there is no way you could pin the blame on my parents for what happened to her. She did it to herself, again and again. In fact, parenting is why she finally recovered and is now happy and healthy and living a "normal" life. So don't be so quick to cast aspersions on Marie. She is doing the best she can, there is no doubt in my mind.

I don't think you should judge Marie, Perez. Me and my brother were raised by the same parents in the same household at the same time. I am about to graduate law school and become a lawyer. My brother spent a year in high school on drugs, and is now having a baby at 20 years old. At some point you can't blame the parents anymore, and have to start recognizing that it was the individual who made those choices.
