The fabulous Regina Spektor was rushed to the emergency room on Wednesday.
Just hours before a show at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, the Fidelity singer collapsed.
The show had to be cancelled ten minutes after she was supposed to take to the stage.
No word on what was ailing our quirky Russian or if this will affect any other shows.

Update: This just in!
"Regina Spektor is feeling much better after last night's hospitalization in Nashville, TN. To ensure full recovery, Regina will postpone tonight's show at The Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA to December 5th. All tickets will be honored or refunded. The rest of her North American tour will continue as planned beginning tomorrow, November 16th, in Norfolk, VA."

This was just a report on her collapsing/being hospitalized. No one asked for your unimportant OPINION on her music. She has plenty of songs that obviously took thought and skill to create, and have meaning. There are people out there who do like her stuff. You don't? That's fine. I'm sure there's stuff you think is great that other people don't like. Just don't listen to it, and don't waste your time complaining about it.

Regina is a dear friend of mine and those of you saying it was because of drugs or anorexia are clearly a bunch of idiots who don't know what you're talking about. Regina collapsed because that girl works her ass off. I saw her two weeks ago and told her she looked like she needed a break from touring/recording/making appearances. If you've ever seen her, she's a gorgeous AND curvy. She doesn't so drugs. I spoke with her father this morning and he said she's doing well, and the constant travel, performing, writing new music, and working has taken a toll on her. So while you lazy ass bastards sitting at your computers are doing nothing with your lives, Regina is an amazingly talented girl literally working herself sick.
This is actually painful to read. I can't believe some people are so insensitive and stupid.
I love Regina. She has talent that most people on this page are lacking. I hope she gets better soon. She has creativity, soul, depth, and morals. Get better soon!!

Ugh you're all fucktards. She OBVIOUSLY is not anorexic, if you've ever bothered to see any of her videos, or actually know who she is. I saw her a few nights ago in St Louis and by looking at her schedule she is literally crossing the country for gigs within days. I just saw Regina on Sunday in Kansas City. I love her and she gave a great show, I'm so sad to hear that she is doing poorly. She does NOT look in the least anorexic, I was at the front at that concert and she looked great!!! Say what you want about the Britneys of the world, but Regina should not be lumped in with them.
