Though we all know that The Hills is mostly fake and a little bit of truth, Lauren Conrad wants us to believe that the show is really "reality."

She tells Us Weekly:

"There have been some rumors in the press about The Hills being fake. Many of you have been asking me if the rumors are true. There are false rumors every week about me and I can’t address every rumor out there, but I feel like this was important for me to respond to. The show is not fake and this is really my life."

Does she expect us to be naive enough to actually believe her????

I just dont get this show. It is so obviously fake…and still boring as hell!! Also, has anyone else noticed that lauren conrad looks about 30?! Whenever light hits her face (for instance, the time she went to dinner w/ brody and he admitted that heidi and spencer started the rumors) you can see all of the wrinkles around her eyes. That is not normal at all for someone in their early 20s! I cant imagine what she will look like in 10 years

Ha - I see more of their real lives on this website than I do on The Hills. No reality show is real. There's a girl from my area that was on Flavor of Love (the one starting in Jan 08) and it was 110% scripted. They knew what they wanted each girl to say before they even picked the girls. It's even in the contract that they don't HAVE to have sexual contact with Flava Flav (thank goodness). She got booted off the show in the 4th episode because she was calling the radio station she works at here and apparently that's against the rules, but they made it seem like she was booted off for different reasons. All fake - stupid stupid stupid.

she has said that if mtv misses something they will ask her to do it again..like the nite she had nail polish on when on her date she didnt ..it was most likely that when there was no more cameras she called brody to come over after her date..mtv wasnt there and wanted that in the show so they had her re inact It…she has not denied that she said it on mtv that they make her do that sometimes…

Who cares if the mindless boobery of some stupid girl is "real" or not. This is NOT a celebrity. This "reality television" is the worst thing ever to happen to the media landscape. Now fans of authentic celeb gossip have to comb through pages and pages of crap dedicated to non-celebs like Conrad and the other identi-dope from The Hills, whatever her name is. These people are famous for nothing, folks. Instead give your time and energy to real celebs with genuine talent like Angelina, Cate, Brad, George and their ilk. Her life is fake, or course this show is "real" to her, because her life has been planned out by a bunch of TV execs.
