Late Night Talkers May Be Talking Again Soon

Reps for all the late night talk shows are in talks to determine when to go back on the air, even if the writers' strike is still going on.

Tough times. Tough decisions.

ehh i support the writers and all and agree that the networks are greedy bastards buttt at the same time why are they acting all creepy and mafia like to entertainers like ellen. this is america if she wants to go back to work she damn well should be able to without fear of "condemnation" from the wga union. all of the late night hosts and tv shows actors have been really supportive of the writers. i just feel bad for all the crew members. and now im going to have to find something else to do once my fav tv shows stop airing. ohh welll

Fair And Honest Appraisal of Your Appearance By Gill Bumby:

It's rather admirable and incredible that you've managed to charm your way into the good graces of the fashion and celebrity elite. It says something about your personality. maybe this is the part that you get a kick out of since we are both well aware that you are more than a bit overweight and you have a visage that is a tick or two above that which is commonly known as a "butter" face.

      Overall rating - 4.3

Life will go on if these late-night hosts stay off the air. But the writers will be totally betrayed if they go back to work.

Come on, Leno and Letterman. You know you can't possibly burp an adlib. Support the strike!

      Ellen, you are scum.

Call me ignorant, but I didn't realize writers had so much inflluence on the big scheme of things. Proof of the dumb arse needy retards.

you would really think that with all the money these guys make that they could come up with their own material - how hard can it be - a good singer can sing a capella (without accompaniment) why can't they be funny by themselves

I think this is an opportunity for independent film makers. The networks will be hurting for programming and interesding/god movies might have a shot now.

      Perez–

though it is the trade paper of hollywood, Variety isn't the most reputable source for info on the WGA Strike– the mag makes its money off of ads, which are paid for by members of the amptp! Basically it is in the pocket of the big studios and corporations that DON'T want to pay writers what they deserve. They'll write anything to encourage writers to scab so that the big guys can make money again!
