This Will Be Amazing!
Sean Penn, one of the best actors of his generation, is going to play gay political icon Harvey Milk in a new movie directed by the wonderful Gus Van Sant, Focus Features announced on film.
Often referred to as the "Mayor of Castro Street," was the first openly gay man to be elected to public office in America. In 1977, he was voted to the supervisors’ board of San Francisco.
His life was cut tragically short when the following year homophobic fellow supervisor Dan White brutally murdered both Milk and then city mayor George Moscone.
Van Sant and Penn's Milk begins production in January.
This has Oscar contender for 2009 written all over it!

This guy has about 0 educational background and he is posing as the mother fucking end of all intelligent beings. Have you ever seen him on a show like Bill Maher or Charlie Rose? The trial of Dan White was made famous for the "Twinkie Defense". His laywer argued that White was temporarily insane during the time of the shooting because he had too much white sugar in his diet…hence the Twinkie Defense! All True!!

As a native San Francisco who lived through the loss of Harvey Milk and George Moscone, I am greatly looking forward to this film. And I am certain that Sean Penn will do Harvey justice! The assissination of two remarkable leaders must not be forgotten! Rock on, Sean!

Van Sant is 1 for 7 has far as the Oscar goes. Penn is one of the most unlikable people within Hollywood. How do you figure this is automatically has a good chance for an Oscar. Because it has a gay theme. We get it, you guys are liberal and like anything non-homophobe.
