If that's "really" what it was…it must have been really bad. She must have been really sick and dehydrated. Most people aren't rushed to the hospital with kidney infections. Hmmm…I kinda smell a cover up. While it's true drug addicts do have decreased kidney and liver function depending on their drug of choice, a KI isn't caused my that alone. Either she was doing a lot of "smoochn" (humpin') with someone or she drank too much alcohol w/out water. I smell BS!

hum..I've had one and I wasn't hospitalized….just a fever of 103 with some hot flashes body, mainly back,torso, and stomach camps and aches. the doc did a white blood cell count and sent me home with antibiotics..no to the hospital

You can only get a kidney infection from an untreated bladder infection or from sepsis (blood infection). Also for her to be rushed to the hospital it would have to be an advanced infection. You can't just get a kidney infection from doing drugs, because drugs don't cause infections, they just make your body more susceptible to infection. (student nurse)

kidney infections usually start with urinary tract infections, which lead to bladder infections, and urinary tract infections are usually caused by sex. ladies, the best way to avoid them is to pee after sex! MK, I'm glad you got busy, but make sure to take a leak to get those germies out of there!

To be honest it's very possible to go to the hospital from getting a kidney infection - very possible. I would have had to go for three days if I had not made the choice to get an antibiotic shot in my butt. A lot of people don't understand they have one if they don't know a lot about it. When I had mine I thought I had the flu because many of the symptoms are identical. I thought my urine was so dark because I was dehydrated from throwing up and sweating from fever. If I had gone to the doctor a couple days later like my mother told me to I could have probably had blood poisoning or had kidney failure the doctors said.

Basically it's scary shit once the UTI spreads to the kidneys. It hurts like hell. And for the record I am a normal person who has a genetic predisposition for them. Maybe she does too? I mean hell who knows. Maybe she doesn't pee after sex.

Your kidneys can have problems, infections and so on that have absolutely nothing to do with sex or drugs…but of course then it wouldn't be interesting or news worthy. MK's probably been working too hard, is run down and her immune system is weak so she easily got a little infection. Girls can get them quite frequently. If you treat it quickly, i.e. by drinking loads of cranberry juice and water (to flush the bacteria out.) If you don't treat it quickly it can lead to a full-blown kidney infection. Let this be a lesson to all us girlies!!!

It's an INFECTION meaning that BACTERIA flourish in the KIDNEYS. If a bladder infection becomes much worse it can spread to the KIDNEYS and while it's not THAT BAD for some people, it can HORRIFIC for others, with blinding pain, severe cramping, vomiting, and blood flowing out of your URETHRA. It doesn't necessarily mean you've been shagging madly or anything else, and certainly isn't connected to using lots of coke. Anyway, I was in there for a week and yes, it was because I didn't treat the UTI with the right antibiotics in the first place. I feel sorry for her - it's fuckin' awful!

I've been rushed to the ER for a kidney infection b4. I had a bladder infection and didn't finish my antibiotics b/c my pain went away (stupid me) and it spread up into my kidneys and I was in so much pain after work, my boyfriend had to carry me into the ER. You don't go to the ER knowing what's wrong, simple kidney infections HURT!! And I've had two children, I know hurt.

My neighbor was rushed, in an ambulance, to the hospital with a kidney infection. They thought she was having a heart attack. Kidney infections often start off as bladder infections. After intercourse, ALL women should use the bathroom to urinate and then drink a glass of water. It isn't very romantic, but it will reduce the probability of a bladder infection.

I've had kidney infection, and they're no laughing matter. Seeing all of the pics and how much coffee she drinks…this is completely possible. They are created by a urinary tract infection manifesting…sometime their are no symptoms (as with me) until you are peeing blood (gross I know) and in an insane amount of pain.

She has been trying to get healthy for sometime…let's not knock her down.
