Diana Ross gave one of the most emotional performances of her career on Tuesday night.
The legendary singer revealed to the audience at her Gibson Amphitheater show in Los Angeles that her father had passed away earlier that morning, PerezHilton.com has learned.
Like Kanye, the singer decided to go on with the show.
"It was very touching," one concertgoer tells us. "Diana was close to tears throughout the show and at one point brought out her entire family on stage in celebration of her dad."
Ross told the concertgoers that she was flying to Detroit immediately following the show for the funeral.

She looks very pretty in person, with all of her makeup etc. Anyhoo….. the concert was great - sold out and an adoring audience. The Dad segment was very, very touching. Go Diana! Great show!!!!!!!!! I was at the concert also and it was amazing. The entire family (except Rhonda) was there becuase they live there! Her Dad died that same day… She still had a show to do. I'm sure flying out there a few hours earlier would not of brought her Dad back to life.

I was there, in the pit. It was an amazing, beautiful show and one of the best I've seen of Diana Ross (have been fortunate to see three of her tours). She did seem emotional during the concert - and added several ballads that she hadn't been performing on the rest of the tour. She had an incredible connection with the audience and sounded perfect - so we were all stunned at the very end when she told us all about her father's passing that morning - dedicating the title track of her new album "I Love You" to him. I think she is a true pro - not to cancel - and incredibly sensitive, caring, and vulnerable too. She needed the support of her kids/audience - but gave us all so much in return. She remains the Supreme Diva.
