Witness tampering is not a lesser offense. It's fundamentally worse because it can be the downfall of the court system. You can't let cop killers get away, and you can't let people tamper juries. If you do, the downfall of justice will occur.

I didn't mean to mitigate anything criminal. Both should pay. I stand corrected. Neither one is lesser in my opinion, but then I don't know the law. But, in my opinion, witness tampering may be a more grave offense than false imprisonment, although both are worthy of prison time.
