Boy George hastily exited the Thames Magistrates Court in London on Friday.

The former singer turned DJ appeared on a charge of false imprisonment of a 28-year-old male escort by chaining him to a wall. Yes, really.

George spoke during the minute-long hearing only to confirm his name and date of birth.

How come Amy Winehouse's husband can't remain free on a seemingly less severe charge (witness tampering) but Boy can roam loose?

      Witness tampering is not a lesser offense. It's fundamentally worse because it can be the downfall of the court system. You can't let cop killers get away, and you can't let people tamper juries. If you do, the downfall of justice will occur.

      Witness tampering? He attempted to pervert the course of justice, which in the UK is a very serious crime, added to the crime he committed in the first place is why he is not on bail.
      George is out as 'false imprisonment' is not like kidnap and not as serious a crime 'totted up' as Amy Winehouse's husband stands accused.
      If found guilty then Blake Civill will go to prison. No question.

      Excuse me, witness tampering is an extremely bad offence, undermining the court system and as a consequence the whole legal system which remains in place to protect us. In addition, the witness he was trying to bribe and get out of the country was witness to a crime where a man was almost BEATEN TO DEATH, by Fielder Civil's friends, possibly even by Fielder Civil himself.
