    I had to evacuate last month but not this time. I know several people who've lost their homes or they are severely damaged. I know everyone in Malibu would appreciate sympathy and compassion at this point, since this is the second fire in a month. Comments along the lines of "burn baby burn" and bringing up the fact that many citizens in Malibu are very wealthy are painful, ignorant and pointless. Please realize that people are losing their homes, their possessions, their pets and sometimes their livelihood and that if this happened anywhere else, this sort of commenting would not even be considered.

    Re: kelly – That's because we haven't had enough rain this year. You can't do a "controlled" burn when the brush is too dry. There's no way to control it. That's what happened with the fires last month…the fire dept. set a few control burns near Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, were unable to contain them, and the fire jumped across I-5.

    maybe people should learn that they shouldn't live in the middle of a chaparral thats meant to burn naturally. and when their houses burn down it raises everyone else's insurance. so basically we're expected to pay for their stupidity.

    Damnit one of my beach houses burnt down so my brother went on the yacht to hawaii where on of our vacation houses are an I took one of the private jets to paris and mommy like took are other jet to new york and my sister took the limo to our house in beverly hills luckily I saved My Armani,gucci,dolce & gabbana,prada jimmy choos,ralph lauren outfits and my mercedes and bently and ferrari Poor angie Jolie shes my neighbor when I saw her Evacuate she didnt have any disighners!!
