If it hadn't been for Skankalina's putrid presence in Beowulf, it could have taken in double what Disney's Enchanted made in its first weekend. She sucks as an actress and is a phoney humanitarian and mother.

And old Albert Einstein is doing the twist in his grave! iShit, with powers like that, I guess I'll go back in time and pop your great grandmothers cherry! Cause I'm first! First twice! First! Twice!

Newsflash Perez. HOlie had nothing to do with Bewulf's semi-success. Besides which its not even doing that well considering its 160 million dollar budget. Why don't you take your fat head out of HOlie's ass for a few seconds and you might see things a little clearer.

I wonder who will take credit for this, Susan Surandon? Walt Disney? Patrick Depsey? Annimation?
I love the fact that This Christmas did good. Whats interesting is that theirs a new american wholesome genre thats doing really well except this time its represented with African Americans. Which I think is great. For one, it comes across as believeable & genuine. I think the African American cultures really represents that nicely if you strip away all of the negative conotations that have been applied to them. What your left with is a beautiful culture that include art, religion, home, style, morals, work. So thats why it works.

Beowolf is not a Angelina Jolie movie for god's sake! You made those people who went to see the 3-D animation sound like her fans. Why are you so manipulative like your idol Jolie?

    65. Punch-Drunk Pretty says – reply to this

      65

Boy, nothing can make any money now unless it's illiterate… American Gangster, even, was one of the stupid flicks because it's content is so base and unsophisticated… The story would tell itself to a generation of vile, unimaginative young people…the stars weren't really the clutch of the thing…dope and dead people were…
And, I was hoping Denzel had revived the box office and maybe that could be manipulated: people being drawn to stirring performances, as opposed to vile garbage plots. But, I was wrong. "Enchanted" sucks…Patrick Dempsey's success is the legs of the thing and he's only famous because middle class soccer moms want to do him in between hits of meth…So, they're taking their born-to-late-in-life offspring out to see it…
As for Chris Brown and that travesty of a trashcan movie…ugh, I've grown so tired of it…there are actually African American writers with literate and innovative projects…you just don't see it because studios like what they know: black people killing each other, battling in sports or overcoming alcohol and sex addiction white baking sweet potatoes.
It's lame. *waves goodbye to the old, gilded Hollywood*
There are no more superstars…Julia Roberts, Tom Cruise, Reese Witherspoon…and the rest…never again will they see $20 million dollar paychecks…

I watched two movies since Wednesday.
Enchanted - a really good date or family movie. 3 out of 4 stars.
The Mist - one of the better movie adaptations of a Stephen King story or book. Recommend it, leave the kids at home. Also, 3 out of 4 stars for different reasons. Marcia Gay Harden deserves an Oscar for her role in The Mist.

Beowulf is SO cool. Although, I dont think AJ is the reason for its success even though I am a fan.

If you are not seeing it because of someone you dont like for no reason, who has a 10 min part then its your lost! Get Over it. Its a good movie
