      This fellow is FANTASTIC! Should be a huge star. By the way, the only place I see Lewis' name mentioned is on this site so I don't get Perez' "international superstar" reference at all. Rhydian seems to have much greater charm and charisma about him.

      with all due respect, but who is to say what heights and recognition rhydian can achieve with his talent, determination, mixed with opportunity? the mind only accepts the limits it sets on itself, so for this guy, who gave a lot to have gotten this far at his age, is phenomenal.he works hard each week. he has trained for years, and yet ,not resting on his laurels, he does not cease to learn. seeing him with his family, his "reason" for doing his best, is all the more reason why we should help a young talent like this.being judged every week by judges and viewers is not easy-it must be nerve-racking. let's give him a chance.we all know taleant when we see it and comparisons between artists are uncalled for. they can all succeed -this is just my personal opinion.

      Leona Lewis will be forgotten in 2 years max, because despite having a great voice she is nothing NEW…she has chosen to re-hash music from the 90s that Whitney and Mariah did first. Not to say I don't like her- I just think to be a long lasting 'artist' you need to be totally original- for instance, does anyone say the beatles remind them of someone earlier? Or the Stones? International superstars make it because they break the mould- something leona Lewis has not achieved to do. Plus, she has the personality of dishwater.
      Rhydian is something new- yes, he has a similar quality of voice as Josh Groban but his charisma and personality I think bring it to a whole new level.
      So Perez pleaseeee stop bumming Leona at every opportunity and recognise an equal (imo superior) talent!!

      I wasn't so much comparing their talent as criticising the way Leona Lewis has been marketed- which is nothing to do with her. I like her voice and respect it, I just have little faith in the extremely dated genre of music she is being told to produce.
      "dont"- I wouldn't use that word to a stranger, as people have a right to express their opinions. In mine, Rhydian has far more long term potential than Leona. You believe differently- so leave it at that.

      As a Canadian, I must admit that I've never developed any interest in the past winners of X-Factor but this guy is unbelievable. I'll definitely be picking up his CD when it's released. He seems like a real decent guy on top of it all.

      He's okay as a singer, but his style is way too retro for pop music, and his control is slightly frayed about the edges. He probably will have a career singing for movie soundtracks and backup vocals. Way too old-fashioned for the pop charts.

      Re: LTS – You said it better than I did. Yes, he would be all right in Phantom or something of that sort, but again, he does have som control issues. He's pitch perfect most of the time, but you will notice that he is ever so slightly off key for a fraction of a second as he begins a word, and as he ends it. When he corrects this, he'll be deserving of this hype. I think a voice coach could train it out of him in short order.

      10 years. His voice is amazingly good, he has charisma. Leona Lewis
      is good too, but she will very much fade into the background…too many

      This man is a Worldwide superstar just waiting to happen! Perez, you are sooo wrong to predict Leona will be bigger than this guy! Whilst he has been sort of 'forced' to do some pretty camp performances in the show (and, like everything he does, they were brilliant) I predict he will actually put the machissmo back into opera/crossover. Not only has he got the most amazing voice and stage presence but I would imagine most of his 'casual' fans would be amazed/surprised at the body that lies beneath the designer clothes. That's because, like his lack of the dreaded sob story, Rhydian doesn't seek to gain an advantage in any other way than using his voice and amazing personality to get him noticed.       You should look at the UKs current album chart from Sunday. Girls Aloud and Katherine Jenkins both released their new albums last week. Jenkins' came in at Number 3 and Girls Aloud at number 4. Opera IS the new pop, didn't you know? LOL.

      Check out Sunday's UK album chart. New albums from Katherine Jenkins and Girls Aloud were released last week. Jenkins' came in at number 3 and Girls Alouds' came in at number 4. Opera is the new pop, didn't you know? LOL.
