Disappointing Debut
According to industry projections, American Idol winner Jordin Sparks's debut CD is expected to come in at #2 this week, behind Alicia Keys' As I Am, which will dominate throughout the holiday season.
This is surprising to us. We really like Jordin's single, Tattoo.
Spark's album is expected to sell between 90,000 to 100,000 - making it the lowest debut for an American Idol winner ever.
Even some runners up have sold more in their first weeks!
That must hurt. Just a little.

I love this record. This is what you call something that wont lose monentum. It will gradually build. Jordin is an amazingly talented singer and the record is filled with hits. Im not even an idol fan so to speak, but the songs, lyrically are great….and have you listened to "no air"? the duet with chris brown - that song is a smash
God, I hate this fat bitch. I'd love to see HER fall down a flight of stairs on stage.

Kelly didnt have a certain sound when she come out with her first cd.
To the Taylor comment…taylor sold 600,000 but not in his first week!! He sold that much since he won wich was in 2006!!

her songs 'worth the wait' &'virginia is for lovers' didnt make the offical cd & they were the best ones and she wrote them!!
JORDIN'S ALBUM IS AWESOME, BUY IT!
I can deal with tween music and pop when we are talking about good production quality and the value of the song. But "Tattoo" has the most distractingly STUPID lyrics. I couldn't beleive how dense the words are and the song make me want to vomit when I hear it. I want to find the songwriter and smack them in the face for pissing off people in the music community.
She's a good singer but, she ain't better than Daughtry or Carrie Underwood!
Chris Daughtry may have not won, but he is my favorite AI contestant. His album went triple platinum.

Jordin may be a great singer and has great voice
But the thing is that Blake brings creativity and fresh ideas to this show, and his music IS amazing. I can't wait to hear his album when it comes out next week.

she is a cute girl,, but to yawn yawn, got that sweet inocent thing going on, yes she is young so maybe her next record will do better if she gets another deal, the idol thing is so over,,,, maybe the dude that released hits record this week is lower than hers…..
