We love the U.K., and they really love them some cheesy boy bands!They've already got the craptastic Il Divo, which covers opera songs.Now, Teatro has come onto the scene, and they are doing schmaltzy reworkings of musical theater classics.

      Why have them wear business suits? If I were directing this, I have a few scenarios in my head. Why not have them in a college dorm in different types of underwear and sing to a photo of their boyfriends back home? That would work. Musically they're fluffy but at least they don't scream their testicles off as Il Divo!

      Are you frickin kidding me? These guys have amazing voices and impeccable harmony. The video may be cheesy, but I don't understand how you can complain about their voices. I'd listen to this music ANY day over the some of the other talentless Hollywood musicians like Avril Lavigne or Jessica Simpson.

      The idea behind Il Divo's creation came to Simon Cowell after listening to Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman's rendition of Con te partirò. Aware of this new appreciation for lyrical voices and classical music, he decided to form a multinational quartet (the members hail from Spain, Switzerland, France, and the United States) that tried to sound like The Three Tenors and looked like Armani models. Divo is formed by singers Carlos Marín, Urs Bühler, David Miller, and Sébastien Izambard.

For some reasonthey have sold more than 25 million albuns all around the world! And for some reasons some divas like, Celine Dion and Barbra Streisand sang with them.

      Okay, so, the boyband thing? Horrible. However, I'm a a big fat broadway junkie, and I actually think a couple of those guys would be fantastic starring in the actual broadway musical of Phantom as either the Phantom himself or Raoul. They really should dump the boyband and go for the other option, because I have a feeling they'll only be doing well in Europe, and probably not even for very long.

      Anyone that loves this or thinks it is remotely good must never have heard the brilliant Michael Crawford sing it. You have four guys singing the song & they clearly can't hit the high notes because there is just music in parts where they should be singing & they sung much lower than it is sung in Phantom. They must not be able to hit those high notes which is what makes the song so dramatic. When Michael Crawford sings it you are so drawn into the song. They are a bad imitation & do not do justice to this song.

      Re: krista – I saw Phantom on Broadway with Michael Crawford then saw it in LA both with Michael Crawfort & Robert Guillaume. I just bought tickets to see it again at the OC Performing Arts Center. I have also seen Michale Crawford in concert. I love the Phantom & its music. If you know this song it is clear they didn't sing a lot of the lyrics & instead just let the music play & they didn't sing high like it is supposed to be sung. There isn't any drama the way they sing it & you don't get captivated into the song. These are 4 guys recorded, not 1 guy live, so there is no excuse for them not belting it out. Michael Wilson even did a great job when he performed live to promote the movie version of the Phantom. These guys are a poor imitation.

      These guys are REALLY talented and bring a classy sound to music in a time where crappy rap songs are routinely number one hits. So it wont get pumped through the vents at the nightclubs, who cares. i think it's awesome, and those are all great songs. and besides, now i know what to get my mom for christmas!
      Btw - Jeremiah James, the one who first sings in the video, is the most talented of them all!

      i would hate to burst your bubble… but if you know ANYTHING about Michael Crawford in The Phantom of the Opera…(which you say you do) then you would know that he wore 3 microphones. one throat mic. and one head mic and one body mic just to amplify his voice because he didn't have the belting power required for this part!
      so… before you talk anything about Teatro and the way they perform… get your facts straight!

      and as for the 4 guys recorded…. watch any of their videos on gmtv or utube or their website and watch them! Those are all live performances to a the Royal Phyl Harmonic Orchestra Recording.

      We have Urs from Switzerland, Carlos from Spain, David from the US, and my personal favorite, Sebastien from France.
