Dan Brown's book Angels & Demons, with the same main character as Da Vinci Code was a great, great book - almost, if not as good as Da Vinci Code. i'm looking forward to the movie! it's better than the predictable romantic comedies and other crap that's out there.
I agree with everyone who already said this but yes, there was a prequel written by Dan Brown called Angels and Demons. So obviously that would be what they are making, if you took time to read the book or even double check that there was one then you would know this. I love you perez but seriously, come on.

The "prequel" is actually the book that was written first, that is, "The Da Vinci Code" came AFTER "Angels and Demons". And, truth be told, "Angels and Demons" is a better book than Da Vinci. Seriously.

Um, the events in Angels and Demons take place a full 18 months before the events in DiVinci Code, AND are even referenced in DiVinci Code!! I read DC first, then went back and read A&D, and BOTH books are amazingly wonderful!!! All of Dan Brown's books are fantastic, so that's AMAZING news that Steph brought to the table that I hadn't heard…he's writing another Robert Langdon story. I can't wait!
angels and demons is actually a better story than davinci code. it was announced a long time ago…when da vinci code actually came out. the only reason da vinci code was made first is because of all the publicity it got with the lawsuit made it more popular. come on perez…keep up with the news.
oh jesus. this is way old, but now that it's getting closer i'm scared. i only hope the movie is made more true to the book this time around, and that the history channel and a&e don't try to jump on the cashcow and run specials on the real deal for weeks and weeks. they're good books.. the first movie was terrible in comparison. hopefully ron howard can do this one justice.
I liked the DaVinci Code movie. However, if you didn't read the book or don't know about religious history it would have been difficult to understand. I am a history buff so I really liked this book and Angels & Demons.

Wow, old news, but I thought Angels and Demons was a better book than Davinci Code anyhow. Dan Brown also wrote another book about the government and nasa that was even better… something Point. That would make a great movie.

The Davinci Code is a book….did you know that Perez?? And it has a prequel called Angels and Demons….but you don't really seem like the kind of person who has the intellegence to read anything but magazines. I just hope that they do a better job with this one!!

actually..angels and demons is a prequel. and it is an amazing book that i found was better than the davinci code itself. but yeahhh…they announced that they were making that movie in the trailers for the davinci code. old old old.
I have read all of Dan Brown's books and, personally, I think that Angels and Demons is the best of all of them. I'm really looking forward to the movie. And for a new book to come out.
