It's raining in Georgia!

Hopefully it lasts!

      36

Are you F*cking Kidding Me?!!? After that prayer session it did not rain for weeks!! When something good happens after prayer everyone thinks it is a miracle, what about all the people that pray for things and it never happens, such as food to relieve the constant starvation?!?!

    37. KB says – reply to this

      37

It isn't raining all over GA> We need it where I live and haven't seen it in months, although we hear it is nice….

    38. Yeah right! says – reply to this

      38

It didn't rain because of prayer or God, it rained because of nature.

What about all the people who die because of weather, be it floods, tornadoes or drought? Oh I know it was their time to die, but where was God when these same people were praying to be saved from the weather.

    39. richard says – reply to this

      39

If prayer worked then 26,000 children will not die from starvation today, or tomorrow, or everyother day after that. Come on people, it's not like it was NEVER going to rain again in Georgia, and it had nothing to do with politely asking favors to imaginary friends who live in the clouds. The weather works in non-sequential patterns, you should have learned that in middle school.

Just read your post about the 'prequel of sorts' to The Da Vinci Code, & just HAD to post.

I read Angels & Demons way before I read The Da Vinci Code (& before the book became much hyped) & Angels & Demons is one of my favourite books ever. The Da Vinci Code doesn't even come close. The Da Vinci Code is boring, & slow as compared to Angels & Demons' thrill & drama. I can't comprehend why The Da Vinci Code is so hyped when Angels & Demons is definitely better.

      Go read some books, Perez.

You really do sound dumb criticising/making comments about the movie. It's like you don't even know that the prequel is based on an actual book.

      Anyways, first post ever.

I am so glad this was posted. I am from NE Ga, Gainesville to be exact. I grew up on Lake Lanier, thats where my parents still live. They have been so worried about this drought. I hope the rain continues. I will be up there next week, I hope the lake looks fuller when I get there. Last time I saw it it was really low.

They've predicted .5 inch of rain, and it's been raining non-stop in Atlanta since the middle of the night. It's cold as all hell outside, though.. happy that it's raining, miserable because it's COLD and rainy!

      59

What really bothered me about the whole praying for rain thing was that Sonny Perdue probably knew about the rain (that soon came right after not recently) in advance, and just wanted God and himself to get the credit for it, it just seems a little fishy to me. I'm happy though about the rain, even though it isn't pouring.

    67. Billy BumFuck says – reply to this

      67

Yes the lake is low because of no rain BUT the real reason it is so low is because the Army Fucks of Engneers drained the lake by accident. Yes it is true. They briefly mentioned it and then blam never again and now you cannot find the artlicles anywhere! I SMELL FRAUD!!!!!

    75. Ask this sinner says – reply to this

      75

Or course the rain came from God in answer to our prayers. Praise the Almighty King of Kings. He hears the prayers of the lowliest sinners. We are living in the last days. Accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and be baptized with the Holy Spirit before it is too late. On that last day there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth but there will be no redemption or rest for the wicked. Atheists are pawns of Satan. Bow down and ask Jesus to save you. You don't have to be perfect. I still fall short of His Glory. After all, I read this blog, laugh. post naughty comments and enjoy it but I do not judge others. He forgave me and he will forgive you. My soul is at peace with whatever the future holds. Bring it.

The drought wasn't really as bad as the media wants you to think. Atlanta had 5 months of water left, and plenty of ways to get more. The city of Griffin, about 30 miles away, has something like 9 years worth of water, and it would have been easy to get some to Atlanta.

      Re: Colleen
Wow, some of you are feeling violent about the rain!
Guys, this really has nothing to do with God or with Sonny Purdue. Those both are symptoms of a major problem: lack of any urban planning.
If we want to water our bermuda grass, we need to take some civic responsibility. Show Florida and Alabama that we actually care, and get involved locally.
When we affect our own change, the divinity of Sonny Purdue is an after-thought.

      98

I live in Flowery Branch Ga. Where I lived it rained almost an inch a day or two after Sonny prayed for rain. Then maybe 4 days after that we got a little rain. We will have to get a little at a time to help. The lakes will not get full after one rain. Before he prayed we would go a month or more without rain. Plus all these scientist are saying we are going to have a dry winter. But I think God will prove them wrong. Scientist does not know what God is going to give us.
