      Not bad, but her voice sounds thin, and on this song the resulting sound isn't particularly powerful — all the instruments in the background are left to convey that aspect of things. Carrie's cute, and she's talented, but this isn't her best work. Martina McBride did a much better version of this song a few years back…

      That was Beautiful:) And it was a 'classic tune. I was never a fan of the country 'twang sound, but she is pretty and has a Beautiful voice. I'm big on Xmas music and have a rather large assortment of artist going the holiday route. The best are the ones singing the classics, and the worst are the ones trying to come up with the newest hit destined for classic. Nothing worse than Maria Carri or Kathy Lee either yoddling start to finish, or writing every tune that's on the 'CD. Thank you…

      pam in evansville-The "X" is perfectly acceptable when referring to Christmas. If you knew ANYTHING you would know that the X in Xmas represents the cross Jesus died on. I'm sick to DEATH of you "holier than thou types" who profess Christian living and don't understand the very basics of the faith. Most of you don't even know that the name "JESUS" is the Greek form of Joshua. Jesus was named Joshua but the powers that were contolling the early Biblical machinery decided on the Greek form to deferentiate the son of Mary from all of the other Joshuas in the Bible. To people like you, your so-called "faith" is nothing more that a reason to bash those YOU feel are "sinners" and make yourselves feel superior. Well it does nothing but expose you for the intolerant, hateful, smug and ignorant fool you really are.       Whitney Houston's version of this song is OWNING this version. Auto-tune is overused, poor Carrie sounds as though she can't carry a tune without it.
