Drinking Sewage Water

Orange County is getting Twocupped! For real!

The Magic Kingdom's residents will soon be drinking water that was mingled with their peepoo.

The O.C. is one of the first county's in the U.S. to implement an intense new water purification program that will take the water from your toilet to your tap.

Reusable water, taking conservation to the next levels.

The intense process to purify the sewage into drinking water includes a hard scrubbing with filters, screens, chemicals and ultraviolet light and the passage of time underground.

It may even taste better than regular tap water!

Drought-plagued Georgia should look into this!

guys. it's pure water. it's safer than tap water! it's so much cleaner than the stuff in the water supplies, where animals drink and poop in the dams anyway.

This is amazing! Even bottled water has been reused (contrary to their marketing) so all water has been recycled. All drought areas shoudl look into this. That reverse osmosis water is very pure . .even better than some bottled water. OC got soemthing, at least, right. Who would have thought they could be so enviromentally conscious!!

did you NOT read the article? PEREZ, you are wrongfully misguiding people.

this does not mean that you will be drinking water that is contaminated.

this system already exists here in southern ontario, canada. it works perfectly. the water from my tap is perfectly clean and fresh.

Wake up and smell the roses!

There are two terms you should familiarize yourself with: 'water cycle' and 'technology'.

The same water has been doing the rounds since Earth formed!! That's called the water cycle.

Technology is the stuff that allows you fools to read about Britney and Paris. It's super clever stuff. Also cleans water like a dream. Keeps those astronauts hydrated while in space for instance! Yes, they drink the same water over and over again! Pretty smart people too them space folk!

Orange County already has recycled sewage for water. Riverside County's sewage goes down the Santa Ana River where it eventually makes it down filtered to their water table by passing underground.

This is dangerous for a number of reasons.
Also, the water purification doesn't filter out hormones like those from women's birth control. It's all ready been causing fish to mutate and develop both sex organs. You can only imagine what its doing to people.

Good morning Perez, shout out from South Africa,we absolutely ADORE you, anyways,i work for Joburg Water and we have had this system for years, where we purify water from the "toilet to the tap"all i can say is that our water is one of the best in the world. No need to be scared. Thanks and keep up the excellent work

okay that is fucking sick! if that every happened here in my town, i would move! that means that water is not only what you drink, but what you cook with, wash your dishes with, wash your clothes with, take your showers with, fill up your swimming pools with, etc. i guess it's always better to not know the source of things!

    28. Mike says – reply to this

      128

Yeah, reclaimed water. It waters plants on the side of the road. We don't drink it. But everything is recycled, right, since matter can't be destroyed?

      130

well if you want to get techincal all water goes through cycled from consumption to evaporation etc etc, i heard somewhere with every glass of water you drink it had been through eight yes 8 other people before you drink it, just think about it!!

      131

wow, first time on this site, and here i see, toilet to tap info. odd, considering this is a "celebrity blog". anyway, just for all you people to know, this is totally safe and healthy, as the water is treated with RO (that reverse osmosis, which is what the picture shows), followed by various other treatments including ultraviolet radiation, which, horrible as it sounds, only destroys life-threatening microbes in the water. So, Sean, dont think we're all idiots, with a little research youd see that this is a great alternative than drinking groundwater which you more than likely drink, which is also heavily contaminated with microbes and heavy metals (cancer causing) which can be found in many areas. Sounds gross, but tastes great. Deal with it

The purification process may make the water for drinking, but it will still contain everyone's medications and prescriptions, including estrogens. Wonder if the breast cancer rates will skyrocket in OC in a few years??? Hmmm.

well, Singapore has been using recycled water technology since 2002. u can find out more at www.pub.gov.sg/newater

    35. dt says – reply to this

      135

The amount of scientific idiocy on this forum is amazing. ALL water has gone through a dinosaur's butt and then every animal that came after. The planet recycles the same water over and over. The water you drink now is the same water they had thousands of years ago. filtered through animals, dirt, soil, ground, chemicals. The lakes and the ground have animals crapping in it as we speak. EVERY water is basically sewage water.

I'm glad even a republican county like OC is smart enough to take the lead in environmental friendliness in CA.

And by the way, lots of you are already drinking toilet-to-tap water, but just don't know about it.
