I think they know each other fairly way. They recorded a song together, and they have performed together live at several events. They even shot a commercial with each other once. Besides, it isn't uncommon for artists to do covers of other peoples songs live. It happens all the time, and if done well, I think it is a sign of respect.

I love this video! It feels like I was right there in the room. It's refreshing that someone with his level of "fame" can still go hang out at a club and hop onstage for a quick jam and get back to his business without making a huge deal about things. You can tell he's truly passionate about music.

I agree with Amanda…and when a musician like John sings another artist's song its a sign of admiration and respect. This is why i love his music. No One blended in so great with Waiting On the World to Change. Wish I'd been there.

I agree, he is such a great singer/song writer/musician, but, really, if you saw him on the street, a nobody, you'd think he was average or less than average in the looks department. There are some pics of him that are attractive but in general, he's fug!
