Let's Hope It's Not Another Bomb

Janet Jackson's new album will be released in February, it was confirmed on Tuesday.

The still-untitled project is the follow-up to 2006's critical and commercial disappointment 20 Y.O.

Unlike that record, this new one is NOT being produced by Jermaine Dupri. Thankfully.

Def Jam CEO Antonio "L.A." Reid is overseeing the project.

Jackson is expected to tour in support of the new record, but she said she'd tour in support of the last one too. That never happened.

Our fingers are crossed. We love old school Janet! Hopefully she's still got a little magic left in her!

I think this one will do well. Her last two albums were good but just promoted wrongly. Hopefully she will return. She is truly a talent and I wish her all the best. We need some quality stuff. AWESOME NEWS!!! The last 2 albums were actually pretty good, but the record company did a pretty crappy job of choosing singles and promoting them. Better yet, without Jermaine Dupri's interference, I am optimistic that the true Janet will shine once again and capture the magic I love from her! Can't wait for this one!
