In its fourth week of release, Britney Spears's new album, Blackout, has dropped to an incredibly disappointing 41st place this week in the U.S., according to the new Soundscan charts

Thus far, Brit Brit's album has only sold 466,834.

It seems like Blackout will not be selling more than a million copies.

This will be Spears' first CD not to go platinum.

I think you have to take into consideration that no artists albums are selling as good as they once did. This can all be contributed to new technologies that allow people to download singles instead of purchasing a whole cd. I think in today's environment we need to look how many records are sold under a new light than we did in the past.

How old are you people who are saying "Blackout" is an excellent piece of work? It's terrible! I sat through it once and threw the CD out (it was a free promo, thank God). Listen people, the truth is the CD SUCKS ASS. It was a way for this "artist" to make some quick cash for her drug problems. I think Heaven on Earth is the best tune. I didn't buy the album cause you can hear it all over the net for free.
