I think Oprah's endorsement will have an impact definitely to people who hang on to her every word. Oprah has a lot of influence, and I think her backing a political figure speaks volumes. Never has she done this before.

  30. Freemanski says – reply to this

    30

Yes, surprisingly I wanted to see Hilary be the president, and now since Oprah is backin the Barack, and all about the black, and I am not even black! Anyway I can't vote cause I am not American, shit, don't even live there. Wow, what a contest, sounds like a damn sight more interesting than the proper election against the Republican - white wash, or will it be a blue-rinse…

  31. RILEY says – reply to this

    31

Well she thinks she's jesus and she has billions of followers so yeah I think it will sway peoples vote. However, I don't understand why she feels it's necessary. Why does Obama need Oprah? If he's such a great candidate then he can't he do it on his own and let his actions speak for themselves. As soon as Oprah see's a black person as being successful, she's all over it. Which isn't a bad thing, but if these people are so great at what they do then let them accomplish it on their own and let them show the world what they can do, we don't need somebody like Oprah shoving them in our face.

  32. ellen says – reply to this

    32

NO….not at all…but Im sure it will sway the uneducated people and the people who are too lazy to figure it out themselves.

  36. Stephanie says – reply to this

    36

Yes!!!!! I'm for Barack all the way!! Oprah's opinion makes a huge difference!!

  37. marge says – reply to this

    37

She needs to stick to entertainment and saving lives. Politics is not something you pick up as a 'favorite thing'.

  38. hahaha losers says – reply to this

    38

You're all losers. You know you'll want to follow Oprah. Which is fine, because she is God on Earth. Unfortunately, Obama won't win because he's black, and Hillary is a woman, so maybe Chris Dodd or somebody will come through and make our country worse off then it already is? I actually think Obama would be a phenomenal President, provided he doesn't turn on the black rights/ Jesse Jackson/ Al Sharpton switch as soon as he's sworn in.

  39. WHATEVER says – reply to this

    39

OH PLEASE SHE ONLY SUPPORTS HIM BECAUSE OF HIS SKINCOLOUR NOT BECAUSE OF HIS SKILLS! SO SAD!

I LIKE BARRACK BUT HE HAVE NO CHANCE BELIVE ME!
    +
    ITS HILLARYS TIME!

  40. MeNga says – reply to this

    40

Not at all. She will sway some people's vote though…it's sad that some people can't think for themselves.

  41. goodgirl says – reply to this

    41

I'm for Obama already. You know he's a quality candidate if Big O endorses him

  42. MTB in SD says – reply to this

    42

She has no political credibility with me. Where was she for Gore and Kerry? She appears to care for the Democratic party, But comes out to support a "black man" vs ideals? This is not a book or a movie, this is my life. You have to stand for somthing historicly for your opinion to have weight in matters like these. The black woman Jesus bit off more than she can chew with this one.

  43. evelyn says – reply to this

    43

If miss thing wants to go on the campaign trail then she should run for office. If our country has gotten to the point that Oprah makes the decision who runs our country we better start reevaluating our political system in general. Remember when Babs spoke out for Bill Clinton? They said she was sleeping with him? This is just not right, she can indorse him but I think going on the road is nonsense.

  44. DEE says – reply to this

    44

No, her 'approval' doesn't do anything for me.

  45. tj says – reply to this

She is going to hurt him. All I can imagine hearing her saying in her screaming "joooohhhhhnnn trrraaavolta" way "Baaarrrack Oooooobama" thinking she is on her TV show - and then crickets.

  50. No way! says – reply to this

    50

You have to be kidding. Why would Oprah's opinion on ANYTHING sway mine? Our country is in big enough trouble without celebutards like her attempting to influence anyone. It's also rather insulting. Not all of us are like sheep to the slaughter.

  51. Aram says – reply to this

    51

  52. Sara says – reply to this

    52

Why are you guys all hating on Oprah? She is one of the few that uses her celebrity to do good and change peoples lives. My guess is that most of you DONT do anything to help other people. I am not brainwashed, but the woman gives away millions of her dollars and incents others to do the same. She is an inspiration and you guys are all just hating to hate.

  53. my own brain says – reply to this

    53

I like Oprah, but I never listen to celebrities opinions. Who I won't I vote for? Pre-rehearsed, calculated, coniving, finger to the wind Hilary Clinton. And yes, I'm a woman.

    61

Oprah only endorses him because he is black. Obviously she does not care for America if she is with Barack. HE WONT EVEN PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE to the flag. He OBVIOUSlY hates America. Why would he be a good president???

ROMNEY ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!! Atleast HE has some MORALS!!!

  62. sad says – reply to this

    62

I'm Canadian. But it's really sad to me that she is doing this. The truth is there will be ALOT of people who are completely uninformed about the candidates platforms but will vote for him because they are Oprah devotees and she tells them too. Not that he's a bad option….but I do think alot of her backing has to do with the whole he's black thing….and that is not a reason to make someone the President.I pray people will actually learn his platform and make an informed decision….not follow her like a herd of sheep.

  63. gtc says – reply to this

    she is exhausting.

WHITE HOSUE MEANS WHITE PRESIDENT NOT DIRTY COTTEN PICKERS

  65. jaysus says – reply to this

    65

I might be swayed a bit if I was a Dem, but I'm not. I know people get passionate about their political views, but I urge everyone to really analyze the issues facing our country before choosing a candidate. One question to ask is, "How will this idea be funded?" It's important because the answer is always, "With taxes."

  66. konrad says – reply to this

    66

pff, of course that fattie is rooting for barack, after all he's black, nothing else matters

  67. jenna says – reply to this

  69. stacy says – reply to this

    69

Don't you find it odd that she has not backed anyone until the were of african desent? Oprah is not a person the I respect as far as race goes. And she is trying to put pressure on people in the US to vote for someone and she has never backed ANYONE before????

  70. jaysus says – reply to this

    70

    Re: WHITE POWER
Wow. Do you really believe that you or are you just an inflammatory jackass?

  71. Abbz says – reply to this

    71

no- i am still undecided but SHE does not sway me. Who and what the candidates plan and WILL do in office affects my vote. PURE and simple. If I thought dem was wroth the picking right now——as of right now…not too imporessed with the biggest "interview process ever held."

  72. oprah is coming to iowa! says – reply to this

    72

    of course!
i can't wait to see her. i already love barack so she's a bonus for me.

  73. iheartperez says – reply to this

    73

Absolutely NOT. Her opinion doesn't sway my vote any more than anyone else, which is not at all. I'm supporting Ron Paul.

  74. korndawg73@yahoo.com says – reply to this

  75. Amanda says – reply to this

    75

    Nope

  76. Nurse Ratchett says – reply to this

    76

No. I can't stand celebrity involvement in politics. Stick to your job which is to entertain me not tell me who I should vote for and why. I am smart enough to figure it out on my own. Oprah can't even sway me with her book club choices. They mostly suck.

  77. jaysus says – reply to this

    Re: WHITE POWER
Wow. Do you really believe that or are you just an inflammatory jackass?

No. For a book maybe but not for a candidate.

  79. jackie says – reply to this

    79

that would be disturbing if she would actually influence someone to vote her way…

  80. haley says – reply to this

    80

not even a little bit. TEAM HIlLARY all the way..

  81. Marky says – reply to this

    81

No way. Oprah may do a lot of good with the TV show and other projects, but she is out of touch with what this country needs to move forward. She should stay out of politics.

  82. jk says – reply to this

    82

Is she endorsing him because she agrees with his views or because he's black? Makes you wonder if black people vote for someone just because they're black or because they like/respect them. Oprah's beginning to bore me.

  83. t says – reply to this

    83

NOT ONE BIT. Oprah is just some rich b*tch. she pretends she cares.

  84. phil says – reply to this

    84

Yeah, it sways me to vote for someone else.

  85. ME says – reply to this

    85

I THINK THAT SHE WILL HAVE A HUGE INFLUENCE ON PEOPLE. IT'S RIDICULOUS HOW PEOPLE THINK OPRAH IS THIS HUGE GOD. TO ME SHE COMES ACROSS VERY STUCK UP AND SNOTTY. WOULD NOT VOTE FOR SOMEONE JUST BECAUSE OF HER.

  86. cambel says – reply to this

    86

Why would Oprah sway anybody's opinion? Read about the candidate, listen to what they have to say, form an opinion. If you are so lazy that you are just going to look to a celeb. to give you your opinion on which way to vote then you shouldn't even bother voting.

  87. Heehawg says – reply to this

    87

Damn, I would hope not!! Although I wouldn't doubt if the American sheeple blindly followed her. Idiots.

  88. Birdy says – reply to this

    88

I adore Oprah, however this would not sway my vote. I believe an educated voter should be able to make their own decision based on good information and not hear say. Now for the less informed voter, yes, someone like Oprah Winfrey could sway a vote. This should be interesting. I pray who ever it is, they will do a better job then the current sitting president.

  89. Mary says – reply to this

    89

It shouldn't effect it at all. What exactly makes Oprah an authority on anything except for how to be a talk show host? I'm so tired of seeing Sheepole flock to celebrities for advice. Wake up! These are people who wanted the quick buck and were lucky enough to do it.
There is no way that I would vote for Barack Obama anyway….

  90. Mary says – reply to this

  91. Kristen says – reply to this

    91

Not one bit. IN fact, it turns me more against Obama. It seems as that he is struggling and having Oprah go out for him is desperate. Americans don't see Oprah as a real figure in the world, she is more of a fixture of celebrity. No credibility whatsoever.

  95. Keket says – reply to this

    95

Personally, I'm already voting for Barack, so she can't sway me anymore. But I think she can definitely sway alot of other people. That's what happens when you're in the spot light daily. Look at what happened when Ellen brought up that whole dog issue, the family who got it started receiving death threats because they weren't giving it back. Creepy. But I'm kinda happy about it. In order for him to win he's going to need alot of support. I'll be happy to be able to see the first non-white president in America's history. It'd really show how far we've come with change, ecsp since we really haven't had any for the good in a long time.

  96. ashley mashley says – reply to this

    96

for someone who calls herself a christian i think it is a bit insane for her to support the most liberal of all the presidential candidates. but then again he calls himself a christian.
she is only supporting him because he is black.
african-americans have got to stick together, fool!

  97. michelethebelle says – reply to this

    99

Not at all. I'm a supporter of Barack with or without her. She kind of gets on my nerves.

  100. escape artist says – reply to this

Not one tiny bit. Obama is still going to be too influenced by his superstitions.
