When Linda Hogan filed for divorce last week, she asked for half of everything PLUS alimony and child support for their 17 year old son Nick.
Now, the Hulkster is firing back at his wife of almost 25 years.
In his counter petition, Hulk claims that Linda is a grown ass woman.
He's contesting the custody and alimony claims.
In the Hulkster's most recent filing, he says his wife is capable of supporting herself and their son. He also said Nick is old enough to decide who he wants to live with.
Well, she may be capable of supporting herself. But, SHOULD she???
That will be determined in court!

Sounds like a scam to me. Linda will get nothing or very little from him and Nick will still choose to live with Linda. The victim's family then can't go after Hulk for money. They can only go after Linda for money. But Hulk is the one who has money.

As for child support, of course but again, in a fair world someone collecting child support should have to show accountabilty for how that money is spent on the CHILD. And even if there is a time limit on the alimony, she should have some sort of support for awhile in order to find her footing and begin providing for herself and her children. If they are filing their divorce in Florida, a child does not decide where they will like to live it is up to the court to decide where it is in the best interest of the child. And according to reports by the media, there is a witness who sold approx 78 dollars worth of beer to the father on the afternoon of the accident. And to clarify, the beer was bought just before they went to film on the boat, the accident occured just after filming ended.

I do agree that the divorce is only a maneuver in an attempt to minimize the amount of money they will have to pay out John Graziano’s family when they file a civil suit against Nick Hogan.
The divorce proceeding will open up court records which will reveal the Hogan family assets/wealth and any property that has a lien against it can’t be sold to satisfy another debt until the company holding the lien has been paid first.
So for example;
The Hogan’s have created a trust, named XYZ Trust, and they placed 20 million in that trust. One day they decide to buy a home in Florida, they borrow money from the XYZ Trust to pay for that home, and then XYZ Trust automatically files a lien against that home, viola! The home can’t be sold to satisfy a debt or judgment, because XYZ Trust has specified in the lien that the home can’t be sold in order to satisfy a debt or judgment. So, even though the Hogan’s are the officers of the XYZ Trust, the Trust still owns the house and it can’t be sold unless the trust sells it.
So if the court orders daddy Hogan to pay mama Hogan, X amount of dollars, and to sell of property and split the proceeds, and the property is a tied up in trusts, the Hogan’s can spend years in court arguing about money, and while they are doing that in California, if a judge or jury awards the family of John Graziano’s X amount of dollars, they will be waiting for years before or if they ever get any money from the Hogan’s.

Let's be real, this is probably all to protect some of their assets because it's been reported that Hulk plied Nick and his friend with beer before the accident while on a boat. Then they couldn't get into a bar. Not long afterward that day, the accident happened. This makes Hulk liable because he not only served alcohol to minors, but allowed Nick to drive/race. So the divorce is probably to protect the assets. Any judge & lawyer will see that at law suit time. Hulk Hogan's severe lack of judgment and belief that he is above the law has a young man in the prime of his life forever hospitalized and his family overwhelmed with medical bills and emotional suffering. They'll take the Hogan's/Bollea's for all they are worth - and should. (continued in next post)
As for Linda, she did have a good career before marrying Hulk 25 years ago, but she gave it up to marry him and raise their family. Like her or not, she's entitled to half the marital assets, alimony (for at least enough time to re-establish her career, then to maintain something close to the lifestyle she's accustomed), and child support for Nick through college if she gets custody of him and the prison system doesn't. She's also entitled to half of Hulks retirement funds. It's all a moot point because after the family of the accident victim gets everything but the retirement fund, Hulk will be playing golf with OJ Simpson, because every penny he earns after that will be grabbed by the victims families. The settlement is going to be HUGE - probably beyond OJs debt to Goldmans. It will take more than Hulk wrestling again to pay it off.

Hulk Hogan must have serious head injuries. With a 25 year marriage, he is going to pay 40% - 50% of his earnings, and have to split all of their assets. Just because he filed trying to get out of paying doesn't mean he has a chance in hell in court. It will all depend on the laws of their primary residence.
I think that staying home with kids is okay when they are young but once they reach a certain age for a person to stay home is just sheer laziness.
