Too start with (as if I could pick a place), this song has a cold drum beat/sound with uneven tones. Accompanying them are the utterly horrible and displaced clashes with background shouts. What's up with that? Throughout the time it takes to listen, try, try again, and finally silence before it's thru you realize It's just that bad!
Her voice is uncomfortably deep at times that are too close to flat. The speak/sing variance doesn't work with her at all and leaves you wondering exactly what's going on there…and how her voice is so opposite of Big Sis.
The beat is a Timberland B quality, A- at best, and only if you consider how much better it would sound with Gwen's twist and band. Obviously who Asslee is attempting to imitate. Save your iTunes Holiday gift cards and donwload the real Gwen instead.
Or some Regina Spektor, she's pretty interesting. At least someone who contributes in a more defined way as a singer, songwriter, and musician. That's talent as it always should be, and never more, nor less.
