Rap today is horrible, and many rappers with talent agree. Nas actually named his last album "Hip Hop is Dead". I think what a lot of people don't understand is this garbage is not what hip-hop was all about originally–and not what it should be. Listen to some NY rappers–some Biggie, or even Pac or any of those mentioned above…men with talent and intelligence to put together a real verse. You'll find hip-hop much more enjoyable. I can't even listen to this putrid CRAP that comes out now.

The sound was created in the early 90’s (89-90) by Scottie B, Frank Ski (now killing the ATL) and Miss Tony. Club music is Baltimore! Not Chicago, Not LA booty what ever the hell you call it, and damn sure not techno. M.I.A. is a cool artist, but she is not doing anything we (Baltimore) haven’t heard already. Her damn CD is produced by Blaqstarr, who is from Baltimore. So if you want to say that anyone is breaking out with a new sound the credit goes to him(Blaqstarr) and Rod Lee, Dj booman, KW Griff, Rod Braxton, D.J. Technics, D.J. Phinesse, Diamond K, DJ Patrick, DJ Kenny B and every other cat that’s working hard in the club’s in Baltimore. I could go on all day about Baltimore and our club music, but I’m not going to do so. Baltimore club music is going to take off soon. I’m sure it will be ran into a hole by mainstream America and the rest of the world, used in commercials to sell French fries and cell phones, sneakers and hand bags. Pharrell was the mc for the Louis Vuitton fashion show in France; he played Baltimore club music for the entire show. So even when the rest of the world has grown sick of Baltimore club music it will still have a home, here in Baltimore, where it belongs.
