"The last time I had ecstasy was five years ago. There's no question that in proper quantities and the right manner, drugs are fine."

I have done real life research (as well as college study) and I know for a fact that none of my patients will benefit from doing ANY drug. Most of them will die, it is people with your mentality that help to kill people especially teenagers when they think it is okay to just experiment… hope your live well with your conscience everytime you here of someone dying from drug use. Addiction grabs all races, ages and income brackets. Also note that all of the "smart people" (my patients are not dumb by the way) who are doing or have done drugs are dead or killing themselves slowly. Brilliant. Maybe when your own child dies (since you will tell them it is okay in moderation of course) you will realize how stupid your statements really are.

      Re: bethany

you are entitled to your opinion and i to mine. you may think my statements are stupid (which if you have done as much academic research as you say, you would know are factual), but i think your statements are emotional and bitter. if you have lost someone to drugs, why would you ever wish that upon another person (as you did to my unborn child). furthermore, you should realize that drug education is much more effective when truthful information is given-like the fact that some drugs are much more addictive and lethal than others. scare tactics have been used since prohibition (which obviously didn't work) and most of the youth realize that they are being given exaggerated information-so they don't listen at all! how can they be expected to trust propaganda? it sounds like you have let your grief over your loss consume your life. maybe you need to seek therapy to heal your own wounds before you try to help others heal. i don't see how someone as angry and judgemental as you could possibly do any good for humanity. instead of worrying about all of us "addicts" who are "slowly killing" ourselves-worry about your fucking self and your mental problems.
