Jodie Foster Comes Out Of The Closet!

Jodie Foster sent shockwaves through Hollywood this week by publicly acknowledging her same-sex lover of almost 20 years for the first time ever.
The actress was presented with a leadership award by the Hollywood Reporter at a Power 100 breakfast on Tuesday.
When accepting her award, Jodie thanked "my beautiful Cydney who sticks with me through all the rotten and the bliss."
Cydney is Cydney Bernard (pictured above), Foster's longtime partner and co-mother of their children.
In her speech, Jodie went on to characterize herself as a "professional" and a "gentleman," someone that's managed to have a 42-year career in Hollywood and come out relatively sane.

Take ownership of who you are, for god's sake. At the core of it all, is layers of shame. It's understandable why gays / lesbians feel shame, but she's an apparently intelligent woman; overcome your insecurities and shame and be proud of both yourself and those that love you.

I'm sure that she is well aware of the speculation surrounded her orientation, and understood the significance of publicly giving thanks to he partner. She chose to do it in her own way. They have not being together for almost 20 years, just 10 years (which is great too), she said it between the lines in an interview and she didn't say "I am a lesbian" either as you're claiming, given that that is the definition of "coming out".

Natasha, I do not think that there is a higher percentage of gay people who have been molested versus straight people who have been molested. I am gay and was never molested by anybody and was raised in a conservative christian home. Your theory is not correct. As for Jodie Foster, it is her choice whether or not if she is gay if she wants to make that public.
