Still Sexist
Arnold Schwarzenegger has been accused of sexual harassment countless times, and it seems like those experiences have not changed his view of women one bit.
The governor of California tells Entertainment Tonight about his wife, Maria Shriver:
"She has big responsibilities being the first lady, author of all of those books, taking care of the family, and taking care of me. She has her hands full. If you have a family and you have children, you know that the women actually end up doing much more of the work than the guys do."
Why you gotta be perpetuating stereotypes, Arnie?
Just look at Britney and K-Fed! Ha!

ick he is so plastic looking
2nd
he is a big dumbass, and the people who voted for him are even thicker
im second vagfuck!
he is not being sexist. He is at least intelligent and honest enough to realize that women do in fact do most of the work in a family. It has always been that way and it will continue to be that way. Men are not smart or fast enough to multi task like women do.
hes so sexy i just wanna lick the edge of his penis with chocolate i want him to stick his saggy balls inside my vagina

I dont think that was a sexist comment at all, it seems like he was praising his wife for being able to handle so much and still maintain her family.
he is right . That is not sexist!
perez is so fucking homo
Well, unfortunately, that's how most families are. He's just giving her snaps.
-This is…biting…
LOL!!!
Well that isnt infact sexist perex thats the truth. If you look at percentage wise woman have something called the "double shift" it means after work they do much more nonpaying jobs, child care, cleaning and all that crap. But if you lok at statistics perez women do the majority of that kind of work
seedy bastard
what part is stereotypical perez? the part about women doing more of the work in a traditional set up with a husband and wife has proven to be true. I wish it weren't so but it is. Yes, I know this from personal experience. I make more $ than my husband and work just as many hours, but I am still doing ALL the housework and the majority of childcare. Now for all you flamers, I'm not complaining, I'm just asking, what part are you talking about that is perpetuating it? He's talking FACT
hey, it's true, though. countless studies prove it. would you rather he lied?
I LOVE ARNOLD!!!!
Exaaaaaaaactl what #4 commenter said. Sucks but it's the truth.
First!
Who voted for his sexist ass.
Such a buff "little" pawn. Not that it's anything new "hell-oooo Reagan", but I find it endlessly amusing that movie stars are repeatedly given positions of supposed power within our government…. and we all just mindlessly bob our heads like the good little consumers that we are.
I think he is totally right about what he said.. When theres family, the woman does do much more than a guy, even if she has a full time job outside the home, she still does more…
It's not a bit sexist. Unless you are married and have children, how do you know? When you are, that's just the way it is. Women take more responsibility for a lot of things, and he's being honest enough to admit that.
It isn't a stereotype….it is reality for MOST families!
I agree with the previous comments. I think he is in fact being the OPPOSITE of sexist. He is praising and supporting her for not only being able to hold their family together, but still pursuing her own goals and such with her work and books and whatnot. I wish more men had this much admiration for strong women.
I have to agree with Rich and Shaniqua. I may not like his politics but what he said was not sexist it was absolutely true. Anyone with a with their own family would agree.
Maybe he means it as a compliment? Like all the women he knows are harder working than their husbands or something.. Or like my mom always says, she has 2 jobs.. after she comes home she still works when after dad comes home works on the grooves in the couch. lol
I agree with Shaniqua. It's not always the case but it's a very common one.
This isn't sexist, it's true. Women generally do more of the work. Why you gotta be perpetuating stereotypes that he's sexist, perez?
That comment isn't sexist. I think the same thing. Women have it much harder than men do. I applaud him for those comments.
Right that is why woman should really be careful when breeding. It's a 24 hour job for the next 18 years.
Britney is a fucking loser - all the real moms out there DO do most of the work for the kids and home. He's just telling it like it is.
He isn't being sexist. He's giving credit where credit is due.
As a support staff member for a CA senator, I've been involved with Arnold's office and been in many meetings and events with the not so big man for the last few years. He is a joke as an official. The only time he comes across as professional or eloquent is when he's memorized the lines other people have written for him. His wife, though I don't always agree with her, is much more intelligent than he is.
That said, he is totally correct in this statement, you've posted. Our society is still stuck in the rut of expecting women to do the lion's share of household and family responsibilites. I come home from my 9 hours of work, have to get dinner ready every night and help the kids with the homework before I hopefully can get my husband's assistance putting them to bed. And my husband is a champ. He works 10 hours a day! That's what all of us have to do these days, if we don't want to bank to foreclose on our homes.
I wish Arnold would take the ball and run with this topic, because the world is only know starting to glimpse the effects the undermining of a healty family unit is going to do to our society. Instead of throwing so much money at stupid studies about why inmates get sick so often, or other bullshit like that, Arnold and his cronies should be spending money on better after school programs and assistance for the working poor. Cause today's children of the working poor are tomorrow's inmates, if things don't get better.
That was not a sexist comment at all lol
What about that statement is untrue?
Where is the FUCKING Gripe???
Where is the FUCKING Gripe???
Sorry, Perez, but you are really reaching here. Wish my husband was that keenly aware of who pulls all the weight in the house!
He's not sexist…he's telling it like it is.
i don't think he said anything wrong??? perez, you're quite sensitive..esp since you're not a woman.
Well it's pretty much the fucking truth.
Sorry Perez but you are probably too young to realize what he's saying is true. As non-pc as it sounds, ask any woman who is married with kids and she'll tell you that everything he said is true. It really isn't a sexist remark, it's a recognition of how hard the wife and mother of his children works.
ditto on Shaniqua. statistically women do much more of the household work once they have kids. This is true even when the relationship was equal prior to childrearing.
That is not sexist, it is a FACT. Women are smarter, and better at multi-tasking. FACT. Women care more than most men. FACT. HENCE, they take care of the children and, if cohabitating with a man, another child. FACT.
OH PLEASE, perez…there's NOTHING degrading about this comment. On the contrary, he's giving his wife and other women credit for doing more work where they usually don't get that credit.
Do you have shit for brains? You're making yourself look dumb as fuck posting stuff like this. IT makes arnie look better than you.
so arnold gives his wife credit and other moms and wives of the world credit for keeping the household going. That's not a stereotype, that's the truth.
You've lost your fucking mind if this is the best stuff you can dig up today.
Right on Arnold!
iaaaakkk!!!!
Perez is a retard, the comment isn't sexist. Good call trying to drum up controversy over a fairly mild comment you idiot…
Perez your a homo how would you know anything about what he is talking about?
Did any of you see how disgustingly small his penis was when he was posing nude years ago? Mr. Universe has a steroid shrunken pee-pee
what stereotype moron, he speaks the truth.
He's not perpetuating a stereo-type my non-married friend. He is in fact stating a truth. Women do alot more than men do in the home. There are children to be taken care of. Clothes to be washed. Dishes to be cleaned. Not to mention other house work, paying bills, and taking care of the "Man of the House" who feels he works the hardest of anyone. I'm sure she does have her hands full because let's face it. Between him and his wife, who do YOU think takes care of the kids more? That's right the nanny…LoL…But seriously, I'm sure the wife has a more active role in the children's lives. Even woman who work outside of the house, and then have to come home and do everything…cook dinner, clean, kids, etc.
My husband has a very hard job, but he gets to come home from it every night. I don't. I am at work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And you know what? It gets really hard! I would like to be able to take a vacation, I wouldn't mind calling in sick. I wouldn't even mind a paid holiday here and there.
So before you go and start saying things that you obviously have no clue about, you may want to rethink things a bit.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH NO, he is not being sexist, he is being honest. Unitl you have been a woman in a marriage with children you really have no room to make any comment on the subject. And as for Britney and K-Fed, well there are two examples of regular people doing it on their own. HELLOOOOOO???!!! Neither one of them DO a dam thing, they have their people do all the work for them - and those people looking after the kids are likely? ya women!! You really need to step outside of the cafe life you are living down there and take a peek around at the rest of the world.
I remember when he was hot
about 40 years ago, he was on the cover of After dark, inside they had nude pics of Arnild,he than was uncut
After he hooked up with Bony Bitch, and her dysfuctional family, it was all over, he was part of the system
Life & time have not been to kind to him, I think all the early steroids have taken there toll
I have to say that only in California the govenor would be a movie star. I grew up in sothern california and moved to washington when I was 21 years old. People here think that all californians are stuck up and all look like baywatch and after years of defending californians he becomes govenor. So pathetic I must say! I think its embarrising and stupid and way to hollywood to have him as govenor. I guess people are right about californai!
Re: NorCal – Preventing wide spread deseases like hep c, eboli, staph, and HIV infection is very important for the health for the entire population where as taking care of your kids is your top priority and your 24 hour job for 18 years. You chose to have children. You chose to have a morgage and you accepted the interest rate on that morgage. Child care and loan payments from the bank are all yours. Many people rent and many do not have children but all people can get sickl. You must love your job.
It's not really sexist what he says, it's true. Despite all the women rights we have come to have. Globally, women are more often the primary caregivers than men, despite also having full time careers & more often than not, are the ones responsible for household duties. If you doubt it, look at the statistics. If anyone is interested, there is some very interesting reading by Dr. Marilyn Waring, who looks at the division of labour & work by women globally from an economic standpoint. Very interesting stuff, a lot of her work validates this very point, that women do indeed do much more of the work than men.
And I'm not a feminist nor am I insulting men, I'm simply talking about the FACTS.
It's not "sexist". The women do the majority of the work, that's why they are to be respected and he's giving her just that in his comments. Sincerity seems to escape you on so many levels. It's men like you that keep women down, think about it. You hate on everyone that does not fit your stereo type or makes you feel big and important. You kick and scream about others who you view as being discriminatory, but you are one of the biggest offenders out there… showcases just how small and closed off you really are.
But I like your work. It's entertaining in a lowbrow kind of way and that's always fun for a bit. So, thanks.
Only in California would the govoner be a movie star. Just another thing for the rest of the country to laugh about!
he's saying women do more work. sounds feminist to me.
this is the dumbest post I've ever read here. don't drink so much at Spice Girls shows.
Perez, darling, Arnold is just giving credit where credit is due…
P.S. ………..this has absolutely nothing to do with this post… but goddammit…. why do so many homophobes pollute the comment boards on here? One would think that if they were so high and mighty they wouldn't deign to even peruse a gnarly little site such as this…. fuck those archaic, ignorant haters…. find a better way to vent, bitches.
How is that sexist?? Do you actually have any fundemental knowledge of how to translate what people say in that thick head of yours into what they actually mean?
Just because it's a slow newsday doesn't mean you have to make shit up.

Oh my god dude… he's spot on, he's honest! It has nothing to do with stereotypes…. the plain truth is that this is the way things are. He is NOT sexist… he is actually complimenting women on the amount of work they do. To be able to juggle as many things as we do is pretty fucking amazing, and Arnold's smart and honest enough to admit it. Kudos to him. Perez, you're a fucking moron.
not to defend him or anything, but what he is saying is actually true! the women do often do most of the work when running a household. men go to work and thats pretty much it. women have to cook, clean, and take care of the kids (husband included) and are still supposed to look fabulous and have energy for sex, its bullshit!!!!! By the way Arnold if you're gonna dye the hair, do the eyebrows too!!!!
My husband and I both work, and I do almost all the work at home, too. Same goes for the MAJORITY of other couples I know. The woman is STILL the primary housekeeper/caregiver in the home. The reason why is not Arnold's fault…blame their gd mothers for not teaching them anything. I see it all the time. My sister is guilty of the same thing. She's got a 15 year old boy who can't or won't clean his own damn bathroom. I shoulda had kids…my boy would be the "Molly Maid" of the neighborhood. lol
