If any of you asswipes were actually informed about things and did any research on the Grammys you would know that members of the Recording Academy are more diverse than you the group of "balding old white haired men" you so ignorantly claim there are. The Academy has a membership of more than 18,000 members, all whom have to meet exclusive requirements to be members and even more to vote for the Grammys. They range from the artists you hear on the radio every day to those that have produced amazing scores for movies.

They are professionals who know what they are doing… if the music they select to be nominated is the same shit we hear on the radio every day then that is that. Maybe it really is good music and we all secretly love that music, thus why those songs are requested over and over until they are overplayed.

If you really hate that music then musicians, get out there and make a difference. You music lovers stop encouraging this mainstream "crap" and support real artists or shut up and quit hating on what is out now.

Trent Reznor is an AWESOMELY talented musician! Can't blame him for making that statement. Most popular music nowadays centers on the eye candy rather than the content. As a musician, it is more than annoying to see real musical talent going unnoticed, while some idiot in a monkey suit who doesn't even write their lyrics or create their music get "awarded" year after year. It's a joke. Those here who say TR is a "has been" obviously have not really ever listened to a full NIN LP.

We have truly lost one of the greats today.

Whitney Houston has passed away at the age of 48, and although the cause of her death is currently unknown, she made an appearance last night at the Kelly Price & Friends Unplugged: For The Love of R&B Grammy Party at True Hollywood, and even took the stage to sing what sadly, ended up being her last public performance.
