The talk show titan joined the Illinois politician on the campaign trail on Saturday.
"There are times that I even worry about what happens to our country," Momma O said at a town hall in Des Moines, Iowa on Saturday. "That is why for the very first time in my life I feel compelled to stand up and speak out for the man who I believe has a new vision for America."
This is the first time that Oprah has publicly supported a presidential candidate.
"I understand the difference between the Book Club and a free refrigerator," she said. "I understand the difference between that and this critical moment in our nation's history. This is very, very personal. I'm here because of my personal conviction about Barack Obama and what I know he can do for America."

I was there at the event. Oprah's speech was really well-thought out and motivating. Obama was also amazing as usual, but I think that it was obvious that many people were there because of Oprah's status. I hope that maybe they might have been swayed politically.
