Typical hyperbole central. There were many people who responded in kind in the second generation of AIDS awareness. Huckabee has so many other strikes against him. as much as it burns me, I agree with a lot of what he says. AIDS is a completely preventable disease(except for those born with it[their mothers shoulda fuckin known better]) If people are dumb or careless enough to fuck around, they deserve what they get. Survival of the fittest and smartest. Back in the 80's no one knew, but now there is no excuse for unsafe sex. It's only a matter of time before HIV mutates to a more transmittable form, we need to be ready, and if quarantine will preserve public health, so be it. It's just like that asshole with drug-resistant TB who went on an international honeymoon. Dude shoulda been strung up and whipped.

Uh, bullshit. Even back in 1992, when these comments were made, the medical community knew EXACTLY how this disease was spread. Solely via bodily fluid contact and predominantly only via semen or blood. (Very little of the virus is present in saliva. You'd have to consume about a gallon of it to ingest enough virus to possibly contract the disease.)
The HIV virus is actually a fairly fragile organism outside the human body and dies rather quickly when the liquid it is in dries. Comparing HIV and AIDS Related Complexes to TB or other air-borne infectious diseases is ridiculously silly and makes him look like an utter moron.
This situation makes a good case for just shutting up when you really don't know what you're talking about. If you truly have that little information about a subject, don't bother opining about it. Even back in 1992 there was a LOT of information about HIV/AIDS that, if he'd read ANY of it, would have alleviated his unfounded fears.

I don't live in Arkansas anymore, but when I did and graduated from High School I was suppose to get the Arkansas Academic Challenge scholarship(and I worked very hard for that scholarship). Well because Clinton took money from that program to "repair" our interstate there was no money left for the scholarship. Most kids had to either pay for their college or couldn't go because they couldn't afford it…so unless you lived here when Clinton was her the don't speak of what you don't know. Next time you drive through Arkansas and are on I-40 let the bumpy roads and construction(since Clinton was in office) be a small reminder of what he did for our "vile and disgusting confederate state." I would like to point out that there have been several instances in the last year where we have quarantined Tuberculosis patients. In one case we even tried to lock a TB patient out of his own country.
