Amy Winehouse is currently receiving medical help for her drug addiction, the singer's publicist announced on Monday.
Really?????
Winehouse is said to be currently in a program being supervised by doctors. Obviously this "program" is not at an overnight rehab facility.
Amy is also said to be writing a lot for a new record.
"It's a really difficult time and she's been channeling it into her music," says her publicist.
Wino is also "determined" to make it to the Grammy Awards in February after receiving an impressive six nominations last week.
"Amy is thrilled to be nominated for 6 Grammys and is very much hoping to attend," says her rep. "She is determined to be ready and well for that performance."
We hope so…..but don't hold your breath!

We are watching a poor woman die slowly (if she does not get the help she desperately needs!) and all we hear is a death chant from everyone encouraging her to finish herself off with more drugs! This poor girl is a true addict, just like that nasty ass Pete Doherty. Here in America we praise our fake celebrity addicts. Does one ever see Amy or Pete clean but we have Logan and Britney these are our fake addicts. They both need to stop playing and stop faking like they are truly bad girls and need to bless the stars that they don't have habits like Amy or Pete bcz it wouldn't be so pretty and it is very serious. Logan goes to rehab to get a new boyfriend and b/c she was so embrassed after that stupid car chase, she hoped if she stayed in there long enough the public would forget. Britney was in rehab b/c of all her silly stuts only for the public to realize that rehab is not going to fix her problems.
Amy is a true talent (unlike the forementioned) who doesn't have the support around her to get it together. She is very self destructive and even more so b/c her dear Blake (her enabler) is not by her side to make sure she is being self destructve properly. Her parents are afraid of her and no one seems to want to put their foot down to help her get her life together, they are only there to make what money they can off of her. So if being a drug addict is going to continue to put money in their pockets they will go and get the smack for her…… It is sad, she is too young to be going through the things she is going through without the help from the users (managers, agents, husband, friends) that are around her…….

Yeah, nice positivity, Mario. There are many kinds of addictions. You yourself look like you suffer from at least one. Maybe you should spend a little more time worrying about yours rather than tearing other people down for being sick. There is wreckless behavior, and then there is true addiction. obviously amy is in a methadone program… i've been on methadone for the past three years, and it's realy saved my life. you go girl!!!
At last MEDICAL INTERVENTION, Rehab alone could be very dangerous for someone with an addiction like Amy's. She is way past being able to kick her habbit through a theraputic treatment program or will power.
It's great to hear that she Detoxing under medical supervision.
All you people writing about her in such a negitive light are clearly uneducated regarding the effect that this level of chemical addiction has on the human body.
Getting clean can be more painful that maintainting the habbit.

Re: hayley – Or Suboxone. I think Suboxone…. it takes away the cravings and filles up the little opiate receptors os they are nice and full and not crying out "feed me" all day and night. I should know. If you have a porblem with opiates, go to a Suboxone doc. It's expensive, but you won't have to buy heroin anymore.
