$15,000 may seem like a lot of money to most people, but not Cooley Lafoon. That's how much Anne Heche's ex-husband gets a month from the star in child support and now he wants more.
$22,604 a month to be exact!
Lafoon, who hasn't worked since 2000, alleges that since the sale of the former couple's home in Los Angeles in September, his cost of living has increased.
In his court filing, Coley, who was married for five years to the TV star, claims that his "lifestyle during the marriage was much higher."
These days, he's slumming it!
Poor Lafoon (and son Homer, 5) have to rough it in a $4200 a month rental, dine on a mere $2,000 of groceries a month, and make do with a measly $1500 a month to spend on clothes. Egads!!
Coley's lawyer has also requested that Heche pay for his client's legal fees.
Such a demanding little bitch!
Lafoon should take a few lessons from K-Fed!

it's called child support for a couple reasons. the money is supposed to go to the child, to help pay for the child's expenses. not to daddy so he can keep living the "pop star life." child support doesn't (and shouldn't) pay for his coke habits. this guy needs to fuck off and stop mooching.

Why doesnt SHE try taking care of her OWN child?
Even as a single dad, I'm forever intrigued in situations where the dad accepts full custody of the child… but I'm sorry, I don't receive a DIME for child support each month and me and the kiddo are fine. We may not have a brand-new car (I have a 2001 SUV), but even with my measley paychecks, we can afford to have decent clothes, a bunch of groceries and everything — you don't need $26000 a month for that. Try $2600. God damn these selfish dads.

No comment on the amount he's asking for. I have no idea why you need that much money to take care of one little kid, but, hey, it's La La Land, so maybe there are expenses involved that us normal, non-celeb folks just can't imagine.
If it were him earning all the money and her doing nothing, then nobody would think it was all that strange for her to want more (probably a lot more than $22 G's a month actually). More power to him!
