PETA has launched a new campaign against the Olsens.
The animal rights group has launched an all-out attack on the tiny twins, who have been photographed wearing fur and have included fur in their fashion lines.
"Fur Is Worn by Beautiful Animals and Ugly People," reads a new PETA ad to run in magazines.
The org released a statement saying, "No one would argue that Mary-Kate and Ashley could use some meat on their bones, but the last thing they need is hair on their backs."
PETA has gone so far as to dub Mary-Kate and Ashley "Hairy-Kate" and "Trashley."
They've even started a website against the "Trollsen Twins" and are selling merch!

I think the trash site may be going it a bit far, but there is NO REASON for people to wear fur. So PETA has a good point! Good for them for trying to shock them into stopping. i never realized how they made coats and everything out of fur until i saw a documentry on hbo about peta. i have never worn fur, but now i will neverrrrrrrr everrrr wear it. it was truly thew most sickening thing i have ever seen. i couldnt get some of those images out of my head for days.

Peta's tactics are imature and often do more harm than good…but don't let them obscure the message. In response to poster #11, it's not what happens when the animal's dead, it's about how they are forced to live. It's easy to say "who cares about what people do and what they wear," but people with the luxury of such a viewpoint have obviously never had the misfortune of visiting a fur farm or worked in the industry.

Hey you guys, if you take 5 minutes to see how the animals are killed for their fur, you would think differently. They are tortured and electricuted so as not to hurt the fur (like shooting them would) and they are very much alive. People need to educate themselves to this horrible torture. That's what PETA is trying to spread … EDUCATION on the subject. Besides, on just a practical note, we don't NEED fur like we did in the old days to keep warm. It's just a decoration and MANY animals suffer horribly for their fur. Animals should be left alone and PETA is spreading the word. The Olsens are some of the worst offenders of this and should be stopped. Hopefully one day, killing animals for their fur will be against the law.

Wow, PETA is really pathetic. They have a good message about animal furs, but they are ruining it with their immature antics. Simply making a statement that they disagree with the Olson twin's use of fur in their clothing lines would have been far more classy and effective than mud slinging (or acting like 4th graders, like the comment suggested above).
I would never wear fur, but PETA turns some people off by their own cruelty and silliness. Still, the Olsens must be kinda ignorant. Even if they don't love animals, they should know that many people have high regard for all God's critters. It is actually hurtful for some of us to see some people wearing fur.

I take PETA at face value and to me they look like they have the cleverest and most unique ways of getting their message accross. I'm an animal lover who tries to live as much of a cruelty-free life that I can. I haven't heard anything about PETA killing animals? I understand their bad press because a few animal right nutters go too far and ruin it for everyone else, but I really thought PETA were a great cause. I think this new campaign is bloody hilarious!
