PETA has launched a new campaign against the Olsens.

The animal rights group has launched an all-out attack on the tiny twins, who have been photographed wearing fur and have included fur in their fashion lines.

"Fur Is Worn by Beautiful Animals and Ugly People," reads a new PETA ad to run in magazines.

The org released a statement saying, "No one would argue that Mary-Kate and Ashley could use some meat on their bones, but the last thing they need is hair on their backs."

PETA has gone so far as to dub Mary-Kate and Ashley "Hairy-Kate" and "Trashley."

They've even started a website against the "Trollsen Twins" and are selling merch!

Did you know?

PETA doesn't condone the "oppression" of animals in any sense… domestic pets, pet show animals, seeing eye dogs, drug advancement in AIDs and cancer research… there was a case recently where two PETA employees went to animal shelters in Virginia, taking healthy, adoptable dogs and cats that could have found good homes. And euthanised most of them and threw the bodies off of a bridge before authorities caught wind of it and stopped them. PETA kills animals.

They also released dogs from their cages during a dog show, resulting in many deaths and injuries (human and animal) as the confused and frightened dogs ran out of the building… directly into busy interstate traffic.

The shock factor MAKES people pay attention and gets media coverage and that's all that matters to them. Getting the message out by any means possible. Besides for the obvious way animals suffer, why or why is it necessary to wear fur, especially in California? If you must go that route, there are a lot of believable and beautiful faux furs. I feel fur is different from eating animals such as chicken, etc. in that the way they kill the animals, the fact that you do not eat the animal and usually just take the pelt and discard the rest, the fact that you are usually wearing a fur for vanity, and the animals are usually not livestock and are even sometimes dogs and cats who are very intelligent animals. I believe in humane treatment for all creatures. They are real feeling and knowing beings. They must be treated with dignity and respect and not used in such horrible ways simply because we can. I believe it was Ghandi who said that a nation is only as good as the way it treats it's animals. To me, the way a person feels about and treats animals is an indication of the true self of that individual.

PETA has repeatedly attacked research foundations like the March of Dimes, the Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and the American Cancer Society, because they support animal-based research that might uncover cures for birth defects and life-threatening diseases. PETA president Ingrid Newkirk has said that “even if animal research resulted in a cure for AIDS, we would be against it.”

God bless PETA, for trying to save the the 4-legged creatures instead of letting them be used to to find a cure for AIDS or something…because obviously everyone who contracts HIV (including the babies born with it) must die, since animals lives are more important (or at least until PETA gets them in the back of their vans, anyway)……clearly, only PETA is smart enough to know which animals should live and which should die. How egotystical it is when people do not think animals matter except in what they can provide for them. They provide a whole lot for us because they are on the food chain and EACH one matters. If one stops posting ANY comments on sites that one does not like would be far better and more effective in the long run than negative comments. You see, Fewer posts less story lines will be posted again cause this site runs on advertising and the interest of millions. Ignore the PETA stories or what ever you do not like.
Most do not even read much less believe the Peta propoganda and are Just looking at the sexy naked photos of stars or sordid comedy.

This made my day. I have always tried to pinpoint why these two bag lady, huge bag toting freakish girls have always annoyed me–even since they were little kids. It is the TROLL factor! They've nailed it. There was a definite BRATZ doll vibe, too, but it's the trolls, definitely. I wonder if you stick them in the refrigerator if their hair will grow? (At least, that's what my babysitter always told me way back in the mid 1960s)
