Please Pizzie, tell me you are kidding! Gillian Anderson is one of America's most talented actresses - and to diss her like this on a prominent website like yours is irresponsible. She was truly superb in the BBC production, Bleak House, and also in The House of Mirth. Sometimes it's worth getting a few facts straight before you or your coffee house hounds go for the jugular. Perez, get your info straight. Gillian stared in the BBC adaptation of Dickens' "Bleak House" last year and was nominated for a BAFTA. She's been on the London Theatre circuit a lot these past couple of years and she's also released several indie films of notable credit, particularly her last film, "Straight Heads" with Brit actor Danny Dyer. It got great reviews. Gillian has been anything BUT unemployed since leaving the X-Files.

Gillian has been acting since leaving the X FIles. She was nominated for an Emmy for her performance in Bleak House. She was in Last King of Scotland and that took home best actor at the Oscars. She was also in Straightheads and two plays. She just finished How to lose friends and Alienate People and when X Files is done shooting she will start shooting The Smell of Apples.

Indeed Gillian has embraced her British roots in the last 7 years and spent most of that time living in London and working on British TV, and British films, to great critical acclaim - her profile is still very high in the UK at least. In fact when's she's interviewed on TV here now, she has a totally English accent!
